When I was younger I thought all women must be feminists because who doesn't like rights and choice.
I was extremely disappointed that some women didn't care.
Now it's gotten better, but sometimes I wonder why women accept terrible behavior from men and give up their independence.
But I'm not a unicorn. Luckily.

i have a friend that thinks only men should be able to hold elected office, and that women should never have occupational authority over men. we met in college. she thought this for religious reasons. she also thought that mothers shouldnt work, and optimally would homeschool.

i was like "why the fuck are you geting a B.A. then?"

How awful.
Homeschooling is not allowed in Germany.
You must go to school for at least 9 years and get a basic education.

I think this is a good law.

See, I'm torn. On the one hand, I have friends who had a better home school education, and are as a result more successful now, than I am with my public school education. I was taught creationism in public school. On the other hand, my understanding is that homeschooling can be used as a cover for abuse, or educational neglect. Or just teaching straight up awful things to the child. On the other other hand, those things happen in public, private, and religious schools as well.

Our public schools are ok.
Of course not perfect but they all use science for example.
