A tattoo might be a sign of commitment but I don't think it could be considered a legal request.
My question this: How is it the hospital went to all the trouble to find an ethics student and made a decision on that before they could find out if he had a legal document filed to not resuscitate? |

The ethics person must have been closeby or something.
There isn't a huge window of time where resuscitation is a possibility. I'm guessing dude was already dead by the time ethics person showed up so they just went with this story. |
