To sit here as a man at 37 years old and pretend that I haven’t participated in toxic masculinity is absurd. Yes there are levels and have I been on the grossest end of the spectrum? No. But I know I unwittingly was involved by copying behaviors that I observed and soaked in without even knowing I did. Keith was the reason I stopped cat calling by checking me on these very forums. I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS WRONG. I sincerely saw no harm in the behavior because it usually got a smile out of the women. My point is without continuing to be too long winded is that you can’t be north of 30 and not be apart of the system. I’ve grown and changed and I will continue to because I’m now aware and want to help end the system.
