Then Justin had to accept an award for Prince in his absence at one of the award shows and made a snarky joke about his height. The rumor mill says that Prince was actually there but was unwilling to accept the award from Justin.

But dude literally fashioned his whole career after Prince and legends like him. There is a level of respect you have to show when you enter a genre on the backs of others. You don't start beef with the elders.
