Simple math,

Happy to know they never made it big. Edit to add; I have an ad at the end of my Podcast. Something about cell phone plans 92letstalk.com Last edited by MichaelG; 06-06-2006 at 10:11 AM. |

The book guy. Downright wrong. Not his place to make the book availabe --- at all. Profit or no profit, not his fucking place! Keet, if you haven't already, I think you need to look into copyrights on all your t'ings.
I don't think everyone is going through what you guys are, but I definitely am. My 'real' mom is crazy. Now that we're all older and out, she's turned in to "i love you, when are you going to visit," as if she didn't play twisted mental/emotional games while growing up. My older sister and I have to validate each other too - cause mommy dearest denies all the stuff from our childhood. Group cry anyone? Let's get it all out...

I was thinking about that while I was listening. The other person still has to be touchy/nutty to fly off the handle, though. They had received emails from him previously, so it's not like his tone could have changed that much, right? And it's not like he replied with "this is shit". Keith has more tact than that............. I think. |

I've gotten up and walked out on my parents in the middle of a meal before for talking shit or trying to make me feel bad for something. Fuck that. When you become an adult, the parents have to respect that you have your own opinions in life, and that you can speak your mind. They have to respect that you have experiences of your own.
Here's a question for Chemda: If you were sitting with a group of your peers and one of them starts talking shit or picking on your brother relentlesly, do you just sit there and take it, holding back the frustration and anger? Or do you tear into them, too. OR, do you get up, tell 'em to fuck off and walk away? Any of the above responses would have been perfectly legitimate with parents. Like Keith says, they won't get it until you teach them that their actions/comments are inappropriate. Don't be afraid of them! |
