My parents do the whole Everything is Normal, but it's like 5 min after the big fight. I'm surprised i'm not schizophrenic. It definitely fucks with you as a kid.
I remember one time my dad freaking out over my room being messy, which really was just a a little bit of laundry on my floor. He comes in yelling, tears all the blankets off my bed, throws my toys into the middle of my room, and dumps all my dresser drawers out. Tells me to stay in my room till it's all cleaned. I came out 10 minutes later to put a glass in the kitchen and I get "Hey hpw's it going?" all pleasant and sunny. I think I was about 10 yrs old.

they'd yell how they hate me or hate what I told them to do, i'd say " Good. You'll have something to tell your therapist when you are older"

Put tthem in therapy now, and then they won't have a chance to say you screwed them up,
they can then blame themself for their own lives

It amazes me that people get so possessive over something that isn't theirs to begin with! Perhaps it's because we are all in a community developed around KATG that some might feel partial ownership. Regardless, it's not right!
