Europe did have to bail them out during the financial crisis but I think they are doing quite well with their economy again nowadays. They did NOT make all drugs legal but they did decriminalize possession in 2001- so selling drugs is still illegal but having a small personal stash is ok and you will be treated not as a criminal but rather a patient and offered treatment. It seems to work well for them. |

I went to Portugal a few months ago. What he is definitively referring to is the god awful service you get at Every. Goddamn.. Restaurant. In. The. Country. Seriously Portugal wtf? Keith you're gonna go apeshit if you ever visit, having worked in the service industry.

Chemda's "dining experience" at that hotel (and the cust svc in general) reminds me of the bar/restaurant rescue type shows "cook pulling out frozen food in front of you & not giving a fuck" on the verge of closing down...

Nooooo not at all, it was: sit at a table, be ignored for twenty minutes. Order drinks, get them another twenty minutes later. Waiter rushes off and doesn't come back for another twenty minutes to get food order. Food takes another thirty forty minutes. It was a time suck from hell, which is all good and well assuming you have a drink in your fake face but even that was an agonizing process. And I worked in the industry for ten years so I'm super forgiving.

Good Service
If someone is nice to you in the UK they want something, beware, if a British person is mean to you, you've got a friend for life that's how it works
We are nice people, you just wouldn't guess it from our demeanor When it comes to getting good service you're either too good for it or not good enough. Hold your nerve and pray they're not spitting in your food behind the counter (I'm on about the type of service Britain is famous for) Last edited by LoopyLou79; 03-08-2018 at 06:25 AM. |
