Gahhh! I saw the episode title and my worlds collided! Martin was at the same open mic I was at in Austin when I did standup for the very first time. (Although he'd been at it for much longer and was clearly committed, while I was.... drunk.) It's been so cool watching him grow as a comic and I love his shit.

He did a whole set once where he told the audience that he had been told he was good comic but never got to see his stuff since he was always onstage during the show. So he wrote out his set and pulled a woman from the audience up on stage and took her place while she read all his jokes. Only the jokes were so offensive that he started heckling her from the crowd and angrily walked out. It was a really creative set and it made me think of comedy differently.

Yay Martin! So happy you guys had him on.

I totally forgot about fuckin music. We just turn on the t.v. to drown out the noises.

Please have Martin on again! I think he'll open up more the next time.

I haven't participated in any kinda comedy in forever, (assuming you don't count all my horrible mom jokes)--you live here?

this guy is funny. Please have on again!!!

Austin, TX is pure magic. Some of the best comedy and music has come from there. If it wasn’t 107 degrees there, I’m sure more would live there. Maybe the heat keeps weak fools away though. It did me lol

Oh believe me the billion degree heat seems to keep nobody away. This place is booooooming. Traffic like LA.

Also in case anyone is wondering, the town of Hutto has a hippo for a mascot and so hippo statues are everywhere and that is straight adorbs. Although I'm pretty sure there are no live hippos there.... but since Texas, maybe some stuffed dead ones...

A hippo got loose from a traveling circus way back when lol So now the mascot is a hippo.

We're pretending this is a religious podcast for a month? Does this mean that we get the opening prayer again?!?!?! so excited

I think it's nice to be supportive to our friends in comedy :)

Not sure if he was a bad guest.
I know sometimes Chemda and Keith will kinda ignore a guest if they aren’t up to snuff. I don’t know if this guest just felt out of place and didn’t know when to jump in.
To be honest, I actually forgot there was a guest on the show (more than once.)

Once during a random hook up the guy said “uhh... what are we listening to?”

Another time when I went to someone’s place, he played Christian pop music while we messed around. It got stuck in my head for a week.

he seemed shy maybe he will be better next time. I thought he was funny and interesting when he did talk. I imagine it may not be so easy to just blend in to the conversation.

'eh. a quiet first time guest is just a thing that happens sometimes on peoples' first times. there's a definite flow to navigate. no bigs.

Keith nailed it with the Prince sexy time music. There’s been show talk of polyamory and hook-ups and whatnot. I wish my dick wasn’t retarded. It needs to know you like some particular obscure book or music album. I like the notion of romance

Anyways. I like this sultry song. Is it sexy or cheesy romantic? Meh?

Sex Tape

Never made a sex music tape, if I did it probably just have NIN Closer on a loop.
