I don't know about the rider but when Guns N Roses played the Download Festival this past weekend, Axl insisted there was a stickered arrows on the ground that directed him from the door of his dressing room to the toilet. Whether he took dirty mags with him...I don't know.
I did say though some shows back (I can't remember what show it was) that I was going to post about the GnR show... Well, it sucked! I will give him credit for being on stage, on time but they started off with Welcome To the Jungle which made things promising but as the show went on, the worse his voice got. After the fifth song and some bitching and moaning and threatening to leave the stage due to sound difficulties, they did stating "We have some technical difficulties, we are taking a break!" I wasn't willing to wait for like an hour for him to return. Metallica played on the Saturday night and they played the entire Master of Puppets album in order. For me, I asked, how can GnR even attempt to top that? |

So... of course your theories regarding why Keith frightens the kids have the benefit of actual experience, but maybe it has more to do with the fact that he doesn't say anything and then is yelling than any abstract "scary aura."
I don't know why I put that in quotes. You didn't say it. In any case, Chemda's yelling is less of a drastic change in demeanor it would seem from her normal party voice whereas Keith's is 180 degrees from his. |

Not quite, they're still way behind podshow (at about 13,000).
Of course, podshow is a compilation of tons of their own shows (which must be hosted at podshow.com), so it's less accurate than just the one show. |

Regarding NIN and the cornstarch....
Nine Inch Nails has been doing this for years. I think it is perhaps because they wear black on stage, this is the only way they can be seen. Footage of the application of said cornstarch can be seen in the tour video "Closure" if you can find it anymore.
