Where the fuck are the peeps?

So did all the other fans decide to call in sick today and not comment on the show? Shoot, I'm 24 and I'm still not sure if I'm old enough to listen to your show. Maybe you better raise that age limit to 26 or 27ish.

Another AOL story

It's your card, your credit, but you can't cancel an AOL account you make for others, even if the member is dead. A taped phone cancellation proves it...

Go to the site to read the article (it's too long to post here) and hear the actual conversation.

That AOL guy was totally out of control, but having been a telemarketer before, anytime you do customer service via phone there are all sorts of protocols you HAVE to follow no matter how shitty a human being you have to be. AOL probably set a certain amount of refusals and rebuttals the person has to go through before they can process the request. The customer actaully has to say certain words before you can proceed. It SUCKS. On top of that though, you're constantly monitored by quality control and given reports about your performance. After the way he treated that guy he would've been gone.

I also had an AOL account a few years ago when they started the whole 'you don't need a credit card' angle. Well, the fuckers somehow got ahold of my credit card # and charged me for the month following my cancellation because it was within a day or something of their monthly charging cycle. Grrrr.... I can't stand those bastards.

Designer labeling

One other thing- Chemda was talking about the chick with the plaid toe nails... have you heard of women who go and have designer logos like Chanel and Louis Vuitton waxed into their pubic hair? They pay tons of money too because of copyright issues... a little above and beyond making sure your purse matches your shoes.

I'm 25 and i can't relate to most KATG stuff. It's not because i live in a different country (cuz I lived a year NY). But it's just that we are so very different.

I had an AOL account a few years ago which I actually did manage to cancel. But two months after, completely unkown to me, AOL's telemarketing department turned my account back on. Bastards. I managed to cancel again, but they never did send me that refund for turning the account back on.

It's funny, because even though I'm in my early twenties, and not living in New York, I can relate and comprehend a lot of the stuff and Keith and Chemda talk about.

I guess the main thing is that Australia, from what it looks like, is not all that different.

Being 24, I really comprehend and relate to most of this stuff. I've been listening for about a year now and it's the year I graduated college and entered the real world, when relationships change and the real world comes about. It seems like the farther away from college and college stuff I get, the more I relate to things. I'll definately admit that Keith's humor is definately my kind of humor... he's not afraid to make a good child molestor joke or "good, I hope they hit by a car" and it always gets a nice chuckle out of me... in the middle of my office nonetheless.
