In my motel room I could have just took some rice and beans, bay leaves, turn on my crock pot...

Aye carumba...

And yes, Pound Town serves beef AND actual food. We Blue Apron it around these parts.

with a 1.5 quart capacity model crock you absolutely could. i mean, maybe not /you/, Keith Malley, but other enterprising young people finding themselves in a similar position under the sound of our voice.

young people: rice and beans make a complete protein. it's nutrition. figure it out. treating yourself is a hunk of bacon and a bay leaf not a *gag* microwaved steak. be a human, babies. now you know.

The rice and beans argument doesn’t seem on topic. Keith and I were talking about TREATS... specifically what WE, personally, separately, think is a treat.

So if rice and beans is not a treat to Keith then it’s not comparable.

I was naming cheap foods because Keith was acting like I never had to mind my wallet as a women. I was not suggesting that what I call a treat should be replacing his steak cravings.

Cheap Food

Relentless pots of pasta and sauce, urgh that's bringing back some memories. If I was pushing the boat out, I'd get fish and chips

Pots of dhal are cheap and easy to make in a crock pot. I know you can cook chickens in a microwave so I don't see why you cannot cook a steak.

Everyone is entitled to their trash choices in treats.

i feel like i should bare a little shame having been up on a high horse. here are a few things i currently indulge in as "treats":

fake orange cheese in all its forms
spaghettios
capri sun
instant mashed potatoes…as a meal

If you re-listen to Chemdas Jimmy Fallon rant but instead replace every “jimmy” with “babybutt” the passion behind the rant makes a lot more sense
