Poor old Spooky
What I meant was: is "Rob" (IIRC) of the traffic incident report actually a sockpuppet of our favourite Manly Canadian jerking your chain? Apologies to Rob in advance if he does exist, had a history, etc.
Sad for spooky, I had a relationship of nine years die. In retrospect though they die a long time before the split, maybe this "Swinger" thing is a symptom of knowing there are problems already. I have to say it must be better for everyone if the woman really wants kids, because the bulk of the crap from it will land on her, even if you are trying. In case things are headed in a negative direction - I address this to empty air - it is better to be the leaver than the left, I think after the waitress story Keith can give compelling advice to any leaver on not feeling like a heel (since I missed the bit about his weeks of regret and penitance after giving his free conditioner sample). Like Chemda said parents are just other people (I have three kids, the eldest 16). I heard a great line about it though, which is having a child turns you from being someone's daughter or son into being the Mother or Father to a daughter or son. No longer can you moan about your parents without having to reflect on how you are doing towards your kids in the same respects. Of course you're never ready for such a duty, nobody is, and can never live up to it how you would like. All of which makes blaming your parents an uncomfortable pastime all of a sudden, no matter the justice of it. Interesting article: http://slate.com/id/2143659 |

Twice in the last ten years, Im gettin close to the girl, everything goin good. Just as you are about to jam the tongue, she pulls back and sez, I got to tell you something, its not a big deal but.......Im on drugs and they work good and............ I say. oh, well, then, umm. Lets be friends. Then "I'm" an asshole.
One woman i liked lots and I thought about joining the club for about five seconds. Sure we all take risk at times. But when you get a direct warning. yikes. |
