If I were single I’d be on a road trip to Pennsylvania.

Reform-minded Catholics sometimes say the Church needs to let priests marry, as if that's going to solve their child rape problem. It's not the inability to marry/vow of chastity. The Church just attracts pedophiles.

Put yourself in the shoes of one of these pedos. If you're caught abusing children, your boss will fire you. Quite understandably, they don't want to be associated with you. Having your name next to the company logo is very bad for business and they want you the fuck out. To be a kid fucker means to be always worried that you'll be discovered, jailed, ostracized from society, etc.

But imagine that there's a company that not only doesn't mind if you fuck kids, but will cover up the crime for you and move you to a new city so you can continue to do so. The Catholic Church is the perfect place for a pedophile to keep not just a steady job, but access to more victims while maintaining a position of some power.

Interpol needs to be tearing through that organization.

The reason Catholicism is most despicable is the supposed ordination by God, the infallibility of the Pope - parents have put so much trust in priests because of this unbiblical teaching.

"And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant."

That doesn't do much to address the question. Why would celibacy change your sexual orientation? How long would an otherwise healthy adult have to be celibate in order to want to fuck a child? If this were the case, wouldn't incels be talking about fucking kids instead of turning their frustration into misogyny?

That may even be the case, but I'm not gonna dig through 4chan to find out. *shivers*

The Catholic Church having their priests and monks be celibate make 'just not having sex' sound like an easy option if you just believe into it enough.
So I do believe that this makes it a more attractive profession for people struggling with their sexual urges.

But of course there is no easy off switch for biology.

And there is the concept of easy prey & crimes of opportunity: serial killers don't run around killing heavily armed Navy seals, and priests often regularly are in close contact with young children who they can control and keep silent much more easily than a grown ass adult.

I laughed at most of the things that were supposed to be funny and cried at the wedding scene like they wanted you to.

The boyfriend was fucking terrible and lied and barely reacted to the fish guts but that's the kinda dumb shit I expect from a romcom. Instead of "Oh my god, if I straighten my hair and put on make up, people will think I'm hot???" it was "oh my god, you own all the land in Singapore and I somehow never googled your name!" That stuff was dumb but not more dumb than Michelle Yeoh and Constance Wu were good. And the visuals were stunning!
