I didn't think to ask Chemda if the visuals were stunning.

I'm late to the party so I dont know if anyone will actually see this. But I found this article that was written 2 years ago.
EXCLUSIVE: Catholic Church spent $2M on major N.Y. lobbying firms to block child-sex law reform - NY Daily News They know/knew what they are doing and trying to cover it up and protect themselves by keeping the statute of limitations in place. What other mass organization can you name that would do something like that..I see no low hanging fruit here. |

#MeToo
My mum told me the reason so many young women aren’t attending smear tests is that the #metoo movement has told young women they are being molested whilst having a cervical smear.
I’m thinking of setting up a twitter account repeating the crazy shit my mum believes regarding feminism. Archie Bumpkin sounds like a rip-off of the British Show “Til Death Us Do Part” which covered the “hilarious” dialogue between an old racist and young hippies. I enjoyed Crazy Rich Asians in that I was going through a severe depressive period and needed something dumb to watch. I agree with all of Chemda’s observations about it; there were many terrible things about it.
The Catholic Church-fucking hell they will never learn. Former catholic here, I was out once I heard about all of these allegations and the evidence of them moving these priests instead of turning them into the police. I don’t fathom how the rape of children is less important than whatever image they were trying to protect because it is all fucked to hell. It is sickening that we’ve know that this has been happening for decades and still there hasn’t been crack downs. They should lose their tax-exemption status minimum. So as bad and stereotypical Chemda thought the movie was, it was pretty true to the books (trilogy) which was written by an Asian, Kevin Kwan. He says the books are loosely based “on his childhood.” The characters, with the exception of the two protagonist, the ABC women who teaches at a college and her fiancée who was rich and hid that aspect of himself, are actually a lot worse and more materialistic and superficial in the three novels.
That being said, I did enjoy them all, though I’ll admit the movie wasn’t that great. I am a sucker for good/bad romcoms lol. |
