I have never in my life understood the appeal of camping, and I kinda think this episode backs me up.

I’m going solo hammock camping in the Sam Houston national forest this weekend and I’m giddy as fuck about it! I would love a KATG camping trip! I don’t there are too many black bear down here. Rattle snakes are a concern. Completely alone and silent...can’t wait lol

I get it. Which is why I don’t really push dispersed/primitive camping on my family. We got a pop up with ac and wine.

if i'm going out into the wilderness, i really kind of want a cabin situation. i think it has something to do with needing a porch to relax.

only if it has a designated porch downstairs from the porch with its own porch. ; ) denim couches are a plus.

I legit have a corn cob pipe that I’ll send you for your next cabin front porch adventure. I’ll throw in some tobacco.

Well unless you throw in a little stream flowing nearby I don't think we'll mange to agree on what a perfect vacation spot would be.

Went dispersed camping a bit ago (DC is camping in National Forests, BLM, etc for free) and you're on your own the entire time without any amenities. I was getting ready for the night when a bear peaked out of the trees and started wandering around my site. I grabbed my dog and jumped into my car (and clicked the "lock door" button 20 extra times just in case) then had to peak out my window while I saw the bear approach my car, walk around it, then HIT MY CAR WITH HIS PAW AND BODY) and then walk away. I have yet to completely settle down from that experience.
