RE: the show (as to not desecrate this post): I lived in a small-ish town and we taped coins to the envelopes... It's not like they send the envelope all the way to california, etc with fuckin' change on it. It's for the postman - like how you can meet the mail truck and they can sell you stamps, put postage on packages, etc.

I did that last month. I set out 2 envelopes and put the 70 cent for 2 stamps on top of them. My postman took the letters and mailed them. No tape needed. 45k My city Population

Small town celebrations can be hilarious. I went to the 4th of July parade in Evansville, WI (a little south of Madison) while visiting my brother and his wife. I thought of you guys when the Dairy Queens started riding by one by one. Apparently Wisconsin literally has dozens of Dairy Queens, one for every little POS town. I don't know how many parades they have to go to, but it must take up a lot of their busy schedules. The best part was when I saw a toothless kid look up at his dad and say, "She's HOT!" Madison isn't a huge city but it's big enough that it's easy to forget that we're pretty much surrounded by redneck countryside. [/snobbery]
