the whole mormon thing is similar to my situation growing up, sans the naked fat mother of course. my dad was pretty much an asshole because of the church and i basically had to fall in line. i was able to get away from it when i was about 16 and haven't gone to church since but my family still refers to me as mormon or "inactive lds" but then again they are all inactive as well now. i wouldn't say that i'm defensive of the religion, though i do try to point out things that people say that are not true about the church. it is a whole lot of bullshit or as the writer said "hocus pokus", but i suppose most religions are.

Don't skydive! If god meant for us to skydive then he would have given us big skin flaps on our backs which we could use for a parachute like you see in cartoons.
I was supposed to skydive 3 weeks ago but I broke my arm 2 days prior and will have a cast for another 6 weeks, no suicide jump for me (for now). I am happy with my busted arm, far better than being a bloody puddle on the ground somewhere. |

I listened recorded, not live, I thought the show sounded very good. I didn't hear any pops and there was less background noise.

Great show, Max Mondays are cool.
fuck watching Flight 93 on a little iPod - I watched it on my laptop on my flight from London to New York last weekend. The New Yorker sat next to me didn't say anything to me, and carried on his friendly chatting afterwards. |

Good to hear you guys talking about the soccer, and you even managed to get most of the stuff right. Actually, talking to people while I was over there, I was impressed with how much you guys were interested in the World Cup, even after the USA's dismal showing.
Latest on the insult which caused the chest butt, courtesy of italian lipreaders, is that Materazzi said: "I wish an ugly death to you and all your family," and then told Zidane to: "go fuck yourself". Someone mentioned that Zidane's mother is seriously ill at the moment, which may have caused him to lose it. The "go fuck yourself" was a classy addition though. EDIT: One more thing. Keith - I heard some clicks when you were telling the story about the airline pilot. Not that it rooned my enjoyment of the show. I think it was when you said your phone was ringing in your pocket so perhaps that caused it. Last edited by jwdd27; 07-11-2006 at 04:01 AM. |
