What makes me sad about the loss of great architecture like the notre dame, is the fact that the only way any artist back then could really get ahead was to be aligned with the church. it was the only outlet. the great people behind seemingly impossible structures and art weren't necessarily "the church" or religion, and it's just a shame that their stuff is lost to the ages now.

keith's dad is a nosy yenta. it's almost like he listens to the show "well I know why chemda and her husband split, but did I miss the episode detailing keith's relationship's demise?" it's not even VIP, buddy. He probably feels like he's entitled to this information from you as your father... but seriously, if someone is clearly not speaking about A Major Ting, it's obviously something that is not going to get discussed. Period.

It reminds me how after I'd announced my divorce, my mom had said "I didn't like him and didn't think you should marry him" UM OK YOU WITHHELD THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE....? This could have been insightful as I was thinking I wanted to call off my wedding, but I was already too chip committed at that point to call it off so late in the game.
