Still listening to the episode, but Chemda, I do not think you should cut your celibacy time short. I'm recently divorced and also waited to start dating again until I was sure that I was happy being single (that I had a strong support system, and that I was happy with my life of just friends and hobbies to make sure I wouldn't settle for a bad relationship to avoid being lonely blah blah blah).

If you set the guidelines for your celibacy to make sure you were focusing on what's best for you and not losing yourself in sex and relationships, and then cut that celibacy time short because you "learned your lesson", doesn't that imply that you haven't learned your lesson yet?

Just something to consider. I know that I moved on too soon and then had to back off again, so I know this mistake well. But Xerxes is great and we will support you two and I hope I'm wrong.

I agree about taking time and I suspect we all rush back in too soon in some ways bc there is a bit of rebound time we all go through where we screw everything up trying to get back up on our two feet again.

I had a similar experience after my divorce where my first serious relationship was really like a crutch for me to heal. Not very fair for other person but in a way my situation was similar to Chemda’s bc I rebounded with a close friend and we were able to break it off on very good terms. I think chemda and X have great communication and will be great rebounds for each other (worse case scenic) or be a long term awesome relationship (best case scenario). Either way, all scenarios are good ones
