so, what’s happening is a bunch of states are passing these extreme bills knowing they’ll be challenged in the Supreme Court and they’re gonna take a swack at overturning Roe v Wade. in the meantime, low income women, women of color, and undocumented women will be subjected to police investigation for miscarriages. yes. miscarriages.

it’s a terrorist act the way they’ve weaponized pregnancy. these charges are felonies. you could lose your right to vote if you can’t prove you didn’t cause your own miscarriage. voter suppression? yes.

ALSO GA is unconstitutionally penalizing women for seeking abortions in states where it’s legal. death penalty shit.

the danger is that this isn’t about a reasonable social health debate; like rape, it’s about control. it’s the disenfranchisement of half our population. it feels like a smack in the face for our audacity to stop smiling when y’all smack us on the ass. #metoo hasn’t gone too far, it hasn’t yet gone far enough.

And, Georgia is #1 in the country in maternal mortality, and #6 in the country in infant mortality. Are they doing fuck all to reduce the incidence of wanted babies dying, of pregnant women dying? NOPE. Because this isn't about saving lives and it NEVER HAS BEEN.

Edit: Also, Ohio's new law includes the coverage of ectopic pregnancy in their ban of insurance companies "covering abortion." Ectopic pregnancy, which is tremendously dangerous and kills women in a matter of days, by the way. But this bill says health providers are required to retrieve the embryo and re-implant it in the womb. In the meantime there will be all sorts of bureaucratic hoops that health providers will have to jump through while the woman is at constant risk of bleeding out when her fallopian tube ruptures.

But all of this is about protecting LIFE.

Exactly! They don't even bother to learn the science as they regulate other people's lives.
