...was born in Philadelphia and claims to have become a cynic after finding out the dish ran away with the spoon. In his teens he harbored dreams of becoming a rock and roll guitar god and later went on to graduate from Boston's famed Berklee College of Music. After spending some time in South Florida, Mark moved back to Philly and went on to work in the studio with Major Label Grammy and Platinum recording acts like Boyz To Men and Taj Mahal before hanging his own shingle as a composer for TV, Film and Video Games. Within a short period of time he contributed music for the 1994 Winter Olympics on CBS and had written themes for several national network shows. Working as a gun for hire, Mark's career took him to New York, Chicago and later to Los Angeles. Once in L.A., fate would take another turn. After a personal family tragedy caused Mark to revaluate his life, he decided to begin creative writing again, something he hadn't taken seriously since before he picked up a guitar. A few well-honed spec scripts later and Mark was invited to be a member of the elite Warner Bros. Drama Writer's Workshop in Burbank. What would follow would be a number of writing assignments for film and television and suddenly Mark's career as a screenwriter was born.

Currently, Mark has a several projects in development including a pair of action films with producer Phillip Rhee (Best of the Best) that he's hoping will go into production soon so that everyone he knows will "stop friggin' asking about it already."

He is also the writer of "Spacey Movie", the first 3-D animated sci-fi comedy series for mobile phones. The series, now in production will premiere on Sprint and Smart phones, and on the Microsoft Portable Media Center.

The Art of Surfacing is his first novel.

Not too surprised that Potter is taking over. I actually downloaded one of the two podcasts, can't be sure which one I grabbed But I was wondering what the heck they talk about for an hour, seems like they talk about the books and the movies, go figure.

But the reason for the surge in their Podcast Alley numbers is that they are having a voting contest/cross-promotion between the two podcasts. The few minutes I listened to the one host was trash talking the other show and hosts. But true to the kind-hearted spirit of Harry Potter the other hosts were actually in the same room and got to respond.

Whats really amazing is that the potter geeks are actually acting like adults...and the adults (KATG) are acting like spoiled children.

I think I'm one of the few people that enjoy both shows. I can sorta see the points that both shows make about the other in that Dawn can be pretty emasculating on Drew. I'd never put up with that shit. On the other fence, Dawn & Drew's motto is "Don't Judge" where KATG's shows are all about judging others, even to the point that Chemda's brother pointed it out.
I can look past that shit. The shit that I don't care for is when two shows start bashing each other (well it's more Dawn vs. KATG) or when one show (KATG) focus on bashing other shows instead of doing what they do best which is discussing themselves, friends and family and their opinions on shit...not stupid childish wars with other podcasters. It's just a fracking podcast. This isn't the Red Sox v Yankees. It's just a comedian and a singer against a couple of gutterpunks. That would be like me getting in a war of words with two joes who run a pawn shop in Richmond, VA. What's the point?

You gotta give Keith and Chemda credit though, through 300-plus shows they've maybe bashed Dawn and Drew in only a handful of shows and kept pretty much away from the mud-slinging in most. I can definitely see why they're pissed with all the negative comments coming from Dawn and Drew, Adam Curry, and PCH and would need an avenue to vent now and then just like the rest of us.

First of all she Says, "don't judge ME" Not others. Her self centeredness is rude and obnoxious. The time before podshow and all they asked for was "donations" was very annoying. "if you love me you will send me something"

If your family runs a pawn shop, you should not bad mouth them, Family is, as family does.

Thank you! Can't really be a Keith and the Girl follower without getting at least one "fuuuuuuck youuu" and my first post did the trick so thanks.

OK I think I've got it now. Keith and Chemda are pretty decent people who don't "in their minds" wrongly judge BUT they do realize we all judge and they won't ever leave anyone in the dark as to how they feel about you and in a lot of ways what is a more honest way of living than that, huh?
As for Dawn & Drew, you've got a couple of people who act like they love you as long as you keep feeding their egos or give them things. Drew isn't as much an offender of this I think as Dawn is. I see her as very much a spoiled brat. Drew, though...I could have a few drinks and a good game of pool or shoot the shit with that guy.
The question for me is...can I handle being told what someone thinks about me whether I want to hear it or not? I tend to think I still have some improving to do there but every time someone points out that I'm being an asshole, I get a little better at it. Unfortunately most people would rather avoid conflict so I never learn.

Before I was listening to KATG I downloaded Dawn and Drew. I only had to hear one shitty episode and I was done. I live in Wisconsin and take no offense to the "oh, well they live in Wisconsin-" comments but I'd just like everyone to know not all Wisconsin folks are as retarded as them.
