I hate to say this but YTA on the card thing. I don't think I have ever given someone a birthday card as an adult, if it's something you expect you should tell him.

I'm with Keith in terms of the following: if you already have a specific list of things you want, make sure everything you want is on it. It's not fair to the other person that you omitted what was obviously the most important thing to you⁠—the card.

That being said, sorry folks, but a card is really important to a lot of people. They want you to be able to put your feelings and thoughts into words. I think too many words are silly, but lots and lots of people out there need words of affirmation. It's not about what you want, it's about what the other person wants.

Good point on the 2nd paragraph. Maybe, for a lot of people, cards are the most significant way they receive those words. Typical card notes never did it for me, bc I’ve always viewed them as routine/convention vs. actual care. I guess I need to hear my affirmations in real time, and see it in action. But come to think of it, maybe it’s a good thing they are if it’s legitimately the only time most people articulate their feelings, and one of few times their SO sees it on paper.

I'd love if Rojo got his own Flavor of the Month show to talk about his relationships and sexual experiences. Not even in the usually horny way cuz I wanna bang him but because whenever he talks about his personal life I'm always shocked in a great way. This ep and his last one really painted his sexuality and intimacy in a light I never would've imagined.
