At first I was going to avoid JoJo Rabbit for the same reasons Micah mentioned, who needs Nazis on TV when they're real? I ended up going because there was a viewing with the cast and crew in the theater. While they're comedic elements it is never in question whether or not the Nazis are wrong and terrible and evil.
Hitler himself is funny but that's because he's 1)played by Taika Waititi and 2) the Hitler in the movie is literally an imaginary representation of the guy, not the actual person (yes. its goofy). I really enjoyed it and think it's ScarJo's best work.

Jojo Rabbit is about how kids can get brainwashed into believing an evil person is on their side Micah, that's why Hitler is shown to be "friendly" at first, THAT'S THE WHOLE FUCKIN' POINT MICAH, DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW TO WATCH MOVIES YA FUCKIN' GOON?!?!?
Aside from that, legit loved having him back on, I always think of him as Old School Second Wave (as opposed to the OG Old School gang like Jesse, Victor, Adam, Christian etc.) and it's always fun to check in with those back-in-the-day peeps. Hopefully on Last Week we can hear the story about how he used to have weird social boundaries. I don't remember the story, but it was something like he didn't know when to leave and would get over-friendly with Chemda maybe? |

I recall a story where Keith and Chemda (still dating) had a party at their house/first studio, Chemda went to bed while the party continued, and Micah came in to her bedroom multiple times to strike up conversations with her. K&C had him back on as a guest soon after and did some very hilarious shit talk to let him know he was in the wrong and Micah said he didn't recall that happening because he was very drunk. Chemda took it in stride, but still wildly inappropriate.

Some of the episodes you haven't caught up with yet from last year have Chemda in full on movie mode. And they are magnificent. |

If that is Chemda’s first time doing a painting that’s pretty damn impressive. Especially if she had a time limit to do it. Most paintings take several hours and sessions to be completed.
I think it looks great. |
