I get the ringing in the ears every once in a while after a rock concert or when I go out dancing.
And every time I have this panic that it will not stop but so far it always has so I voted No. |

For me, the more tired I am, the worse it seems to be. Some nights it's so loud I can't hear my wife very well over the ringing.
Not sure if it's a result of 7 years in an extremely loud molding shop, or just genetics. A few years ago I read that playing music (or KATG) in the background gives your brain something to do so it doesn't invent the ringing. That seems to help most of the time. |

I'm in hospital after surgery on my leg (think this makes it my 8th one!) and listening to KATG is one of the best ways to pass the time, of course. I'm quite pleased and surprised that they didn't go straight into the marathon and that there's a round up first. I love a bit of solo Keith and Chemda.
I'm only 15 mins in, so I've not heard all about the tinnitus but I'm thankful that I don't have it! I'm a bit of a home body now (no loud clubs and work in an office), so hopefully that means I won't get it either. I'm sorry that you're suffering with this, Keith (and everyone else who said they have it). It sounds shit. Can't wait to listen to the Gootz episode next. He is quite the character. |

You can try progesterone cream on the back of the neck for tinnitus.
"People with excess adrenaline, they always carry tension in the back of their neck. This can cut off blood supply to the ears, and that's where tinnitus comes from. Tinnitus can be eliminated just by putting progesterone cream on the back of the neck." -Dr. Michael Platt |
