There is no sense in trying to reason with Father Malley or present him with logic or facts. He'll make up what he wants and believe what he chooses, just like with his dumb religion in his basement.

The religious guilt aspect of it all makes me especially angry. This is a tactic my family (brother) has used against me when trying to make me feel guilty about something. You CANNOT Jesus-shame an atheist! It just doesn't work!

Ok but hear me out, what if he didn't and that's about as real as Pinnochio.

I chose "yes" in the poll, cause I unfortunately think Keith's mom might pass away first, and Keith would NOT miss her funeral.
But do I think there is ANY other reason they would see each other again...NOPE!!!

After the initial shock of seeing that FM had finally replied directly and was addressing Keith/Not!Cat, I calmed down, listened to the ep and got...NOTHING? He doesn't address the past YEAR of probably jerking off to steamy emails from his son, he isn't outraged at being made a fool of, he doesn't call Keith crazy/mean/ungrateful. He just...makes more shit up? Again? He passively threatens to sue him, after telling him a few months ago he couldn't do that to his own family and turns it like the ONLY issue is Keith bad mouthing the family?

I guess he can't keep up with the 4-5 ep a week schedule and only listened a to few things. It sounded like he thinks someone else on the KATG staff has been trying to fool him? Maybe? And thinks that whenever anyone mentions Keith's mom they're making fun of her? No one has even talked about the siblings in months! Why is he even bringing them up? Does HE have dementia? Is he responding to eps from 8 years ago?

If this were a netflix show I'd have stopped watching already. He is The Circle.

Bleh. Who cares. At this point Keith could put on a wig and literally fuck FM and we'd get an email talking about Jesus, asking Keith if Catherine always cursed during sex or if ChAmda influenced her over the years with her Jewishness.

At first I thought getting Keith to email from his own address was a "clever ruse" to provide "proof" that Keith is behind the "Cat-fishing" but meh, it was as Keith said, just a lame and rather pathetic excuse to try and wipe away his past transgressions and start a new argument with a clean slate.

Boy, that email. A cornered rat, indeed.

Heh. I just learned I still had some respect left for Father Malley to now lose.

I wondered if Real Cat had been kept up on what was going on here. Probably healthier if she hasn't been listening, though I think when this all finally ends she deserves a gift of some kind for the gift she has given all of us. Imagine what the last year might have been like if she had simply ignored FM's first email? She didn't have to forward it to Keith, but that simple act opened up what may be the most unbelievable can of worms in the history of KATG, leading to concrete confirmation and evidence that Keith's father is a bad person, and always has been.

I've been wondering as well, are any of Keith's siblings in the know about this saga? If any of them know what's happening, what do they think of it all?

I'm wondering if FM realized that he was talking to Keith on both accounts, or he thinks he was talking to Catherine at the begining and then she showed Keith the emails. What do you guys think?

I honestly don’t think he knew until Keith told him. He would have called or said something before hand. Which is why his current emails are so pissy. He is so mad that he was tricked. He is trying so hard to show that he is still on the higher ground than Keith.

Brilliant video!

There’s almost too much content for this to be one episode. Not only are we treated to some new guests (cant’t wait for Last Week), Season 3 of Cat’s In the Cradle EXPLODES with drama! My feeble mind cannot even begin to comprehend the newest twists and turns!

Digging holes? Who knew Stanley Yelnats was real. Keith Htiek doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, but you get the idea.

Father Malley clearly has a personality disorder, and he’s not the best father you can have, but he’s also not the worst. Much of Keith’s childhood from what I’ve heard seems to be a symptom of growing up without money. My parents had and lost money and it was a while before they somewhat recovered, so I experienced both ends of the spectrum growing up. But then again, they were relatively sane. Hats off, Keith.
