That's awesome! I feel like Red Lights was loosely based on his work

And I’m Disgusting Jennifer. And I loved the roast lol. Especially as I was sitting in isolation at the ER because I had a fever and some chest pain and EVERYONE at the VA is freaking out so they insisted I go in to be tested. Well thankfully I called my doctor who called the health department who said since I work with the elderly and have diabetes I should go in to be tested. And to call the ER ahead of time because they have to do isolation protocols. Call ER they told me I have to call health department first. I said already been done. They tried to insist I call again. I say I’m coming in because I’m not playing this game with you so have the gown and mask ready. Did get tested for the flu, don’t have it. And was tested for Corona-in Indiana it is taking 6-7 DAYS to get the results back. ER doctors are pretty sure it is just a virus. I’m staying home for a week to be sure. Work is thankfully being awesome by letting everyone work from home and call patients until everything gets the all clear.

And by the by my letter could be even more disgusting. I could have shared pictures from the MRSA infections from boils ON MY ASS CLOSE TO THE FUCKING HOLE as they were DRAINING. One of the worst experiences of my life. Super painful. I’m allergic to multiple antibiotics so there was a worry that I’d have to be admitted to the hospital. Thankfully, they did eventually heal and I didn’t have a reaction to the Bacterim they gave me.

For the lady who is in pain during sex-If you and your boyfriend are completely happy with your relationship the way it is and don’t feel the need to have sex be a big part of your life, I say don’t worry about it. There is nothing wrong with it if you are both happy. Society puts a lot of importance on sex as it does feel fantastic for a lot of people. There are people where that is not the case and it just isn’t as important. If you haven’t already listen to the WMN episode where Chemda talks to someone who is asexual.

Haven't listened yet but I'm excited to see those names together - hard to believe peak Bridget and the Squares was 9 years ago.

Uninformed Doctors

Hey KatG,
I just listened to this episode with my wife who has suffered from Vulvodynia (Vul-va-Din-ya Keith) her entire life. There is no arguing that the writer from earlier doesn't have it (she listed the symptoms perfectly), but vulvodynia isn't mental. It's caused from hormone imbalances, and can be treated much easier than 2 years of therapy (though that has been proven to help as well). My wife has all sorts of things that she does to help, but I recommend that anyone suffering from vulvodynia find the Facebook support groups. There are plenty of people with this problem (some of which are significantly worse off than others) and everyone is happy to help.

Just search Vulvodynia Support Group in Facebook if you want any information. This has been my TEDTalk. Thank you

Father Malley ... it's getting even weirder.

The depths his lies go to are bottomless. There's no end to this! He likely was never an actual priest, just as he has no PhD's, no doctorates, no degrees, and there's no way he speaks Russian. He is a charlatan and a scammer, through and through. Everything in his life is a lie, there is not one thing he has done that has an ounce of truth in it.

Wait a minute... he said all he wants is to put a smile on someone's face, but when you were growing up, he would force you to go outside if you were laughing?

What the fuck?

I'm the listener who wrote in about this. Thanks for this! I will check out the Facebook group. I recently joined a reddit group for it as well. It's been weird but really helpful ever since I got diagnosed to discover that this is not as uncommon as I thought it was.

Keith, Chemda, Kyle and Laura: I really appreciate the tips and comments you had. I had a bit of an 'omg' moment when Kyle mentioned the fact that I had put the rape part in a side note. Even though sex was painful before that happened I do believe it has had an impact I'm still not fully aware of. I finally have a nice female doctor that I trust and when I went to her this autumn to get refered for this problem she asked me routinely if I had experienced any sexual trauma. I started telling her about the gyno experience kind of matter of fact but by the end I was shaking and crying in a way that really surprised me.

So I will take Chemda's advice and seek out a therapist and not worry so much about the Vulvodynia for now.

As for Diamond Dogs: I have no idea how it can be THAT good so I encourage Keith to go in even more detail next time. Just so I might actually get it

I'll never forget hearing Bridget and the Squares perform after Keith's standup show in 2017 at the height of my intense breakup-fueled Fiona Apple listening phase. Soooooooooooooo good.

In the witness protection program? I'm convinced that Keith might actually be from it.
