Like me, are any of you in love with a Disappointment Denier?

"Did you like it?"

"Yeah!"

"But your yeah wasn't like normal."

"I said I liked it!"

"Okay. I'll make it again tomorrow."

"Mmm... Maybe not..."

- not true dialogue that ever NECESSARILY happened but you get it

But then it's even worse when it's about something you had NOTHING to do with.

For example:

"I didn't hate The Master."

Thank you.

The banter between Keith and Kyle is so fuckin' funny. I love it.

My wife can be a disappointment denier sometimes, usually when it comes to my cooking. I am a decent cook, and I have a few things I can make really well (i.e. steak, chicken parm) but she'll usually do it when i try something new. Maybe it's to not hurt my feelings because she knows I tried my best.

I think both, and Keith have ideal partners now and I hope no one breaks up ever.

being lukewarm about something is the mark of garbage. to say something is “nice” in this house is the most negative thing you can. evoking a strong feeling, whatever that is, makes the conversation go.

Keith, I feel your pain! Thank you for lifting this rock for all to see the dirty underside. As always, you continue to provide a valuable service the world needs.

Me: What do you want to watch tonight?

The love of my life, best thing to ever happen to me wife: I want to watch X. (Where X is some stupid show I don't care about.)

Me: (Because I love her so much) Eh, okay.

Then we start watching whatever crappy show she wanted to watch because I don't really care, I just want to spend time with her.

Five minutes later, Me: WTF are you doing on Facebook on your phone? You wanted to watch this pile of shit and you're not even watching it!

Her: I'm watching it!

Me: What just happened?

Her: Okay, maybe I missed something.

Ya think???

I think Kyle is getting stuck on the word "hate." There are a ton of movies I didn't like but I wouldn't say I hate. The pieces of media that I hated I can remember saying out loud, "what the fuck," or "are you kidding me?" Before getting more and more indignant and either throwing the controller down or just turning off the film. Basically "didn't like" and "hate" aren't interchangeable.

The biggest problem I have is my girlfriend insists on watching a film and then just falls asleep or misses key points. YOU WANTED THIS NOT ME, WAKE THE FUCK UP!

Do people think I HATE movies? That I have such disdain for a movie that I hope bad things happen to it? Do you think I have malice and a loathing aversion for The Master?

We know what words are. And I hate The Master. Somehow without it keeping me up at night.

That word is the hang-up? Then it’s a deliberate hang-up so that you can argue over if something was terrible or not.

And I hate that.

P.S. is the word terrible better? Cause it was SO. FUCKING. TERRIBLE.

“But how was the catering probably?”

GRRRRRRR!!!
