Re: The Poll
I was the first In the Sink on the poll. It was getting brought up on the show that I was getting confused. I knew the sponge needed to be dried off to stay Ungross longer, but never really heard the in the sink vs out of the sink thing. I was ready to YTA myself but not just yet.
The other day i did dishes before before bed, squeezed out the sponge and left it in the sink. The next morning - it was pretty dry. Last night I did the same and left the squeezed out sponge in the tray. this morning- equally as dry. so uh. I'll take the asshole title writing all of this but not for leaving sponges in the sink - so long as its squeezed out and the place its resting is clear of dishes I don't really think it matters. PS thanks for giving me something to put on and check off my to-do list!

He’s lying or not even thinking at best.

To me the point is that a usually people will run water and put dirty dishes in the sink so a sponge left in the sink can not dry fully and will collect all kinds of bacteria. Once a week or more I soak the sponge in soupy water, set it on a small plate (the sponge full of water) and microwave it for 5 minutes then I rinse it and add it to the next load in the dishwasher. This does a nice job of cleaning it. |

It's my favorite kind. You have a sink on the right and left one for washing and one for rinsing and the center. So you first rinse the dish in the center sink, putting and food leftovers down the drain for the disposal then you wash it in the right sink then final rinse in the second then set it to dry. This means the center sink really never is used unless the sponge is in your hand. Makes sense to me, you know if you don't live in a closet sized apartment in NY... That sink would take up half of the living space! -and it would still be full of Chemda's dishes. |

I also clean the sink after every time I do the dishes. I know a lot of people don't and let all that bacteria sit and grow in the sink. ALSO, on a slightly different topic. Two people or fewer do not need plates when eating pizza! I don't understand that, eat over the box you goof! |
