Re: Ladybird
fuck that movie and the parents I recently rewatched VoxLux, a movie I loved when i saw it 3 years ago. It was kinda bland the second time around but the interactions between Natalie Portman and her daughter really affected me. Natalie plays a volatile narcissistic drug abuser. EVERY INTERACTION with her daughter is turned into a moment for her to seem like a selfless angel and it really set me off while watching. The daughter asks why Natalie always treats her sister like she hates her, Natalie starts a story about how the sister is scared and not strong enough to do what Natalie does. The daughter references Natalie's excessive drinking and losing weight and gives concern about whether she's going to make herself ill (again). Natalie dodges the question by saying "I'm the mom! I do the worrying. You're so important...everything I do is for you" it made me sick |
also,
there was a tiny bit of abuse in 8th grade but it wasn't really a theme |
I don’t think Chemda hates children when they are born and a little bigger.
But she hates the idea of having kids and can’t understand how anyone would want that and is very pro abortion. I was never a saint and enough sex for fun ( NICE!) before, and I’m still glad I never had make the decision to have an abortion, because I know myself and I know it would have stayed in my memory forever and burden me. Why didn’t I have an unwanted pregnancy? Luck, the German health system, and my OCD thoughts. I was on the pill from 16 and never forgot it, because my OCD thoughts made my NEVER forget even one pill. Thank you mental problems for once. |

The jokes and remarks like "pregnant? Should I push her down the stairs?" "Pregnant and corona' wonder what is worse!" " pregnant? I know a guy!" Point in a different direction when it comes to the choices of other people. Chemda also doesn't say she is pro choice, she said multiple times she is pro abortion. |
I think this comes from being expected to have kids her whole life by her parents, and the opposition to it.
|
Chemda is pro-choice and jokes about abortions because it’s funny and it takes the stigma off.
I’m anti people having kids and being oblivious to the responsibilities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Many women had miscarriages, were very sad about it. Joking about throwing pregnant women down the stairs to make them miscarry isn’t helping with this stigma. |
Oh my...
