eesh. welp, if you do end up going maybe hit it mid-week? every asshole idiot is out and galavanting around the rivers and lakes on the weekend. might do to call and see when abouts they usually have fewer guests.

I'm 51-49 on the no side, just because of the extra risk and I don't know how dangerous renting a car is. I went camping a couple weeks ago and once we were there it was very easy to avoid other people, especially if you don't use the public bathroom.

Chemda I think it is safe to rent a car and go camping. Drive with the car windows open when you first get it if you are worried. Wear a mask and wipe down any surfaces in the car you have to touch to be extra safe. The most dangerous thing camping would be using a bathroom at the same time as others. The danger from Covid is primarily indoors or in outdoor crowds with unmasked people. The virus becomes concentrated in those situations if anyone has it. I think it would be good for your mental health to have a change of scenery and outdoor activities not around other people are very low risk. Going into the grocery store is definitely riskier than renting a car and camping. I hope you guys go and have fun :) I agree mid-week might be better since the campgrounds will be less crowded. Let Keith run OMAT for a few days, it'll be great! ;)

re: the poll

yes, but

tl:dr -
check what kind of cleaning process the company is doing.
bring your own, approved, disinfectants and wipe down the keys, exteriror and interior materials. The only thing that can't be properly cleaned is cloth so make sure you get leather seats.

airbourne particles look like they stay in the air for about 2 hours. So a couple options include leaving the car in the parking lot for 2 hours before driving off, using one of those companies that drop the car of at your place and not drive for 2 hours + letting the car air out with the windows open

That’s good.

You can really go Chemda.
Just keep away from other people. No new friends! Go during the week.
The car isn't very dangerous.
As it was said, open the windows and let it stand there for 2 hours to feel safer.
You mental health is also important.
