Interestingly the love interest in Gemini Man is who Will was having a relationship with while/before Jada fucked that short rapper. So I think he's fine with you looking it up.

Apia resurrected 09-29-2020 12:06 AM

Trump is like a cult leader.
Facts dont matter anymore. Like for scientology members they dont.

I thought maybe if he forced someone to have an abortion ( because of his Christian supporters who seem to only care about the unborn otherwise they are more pro death) and the person speak up...
But no. He would make himself the victim.

FingerLakes 09-29-2020 12:59 AM

Christian voters already support men who pay for abortions and get divorced and cheat on their wives before they get divorced. As long as he says the word god here and there, they're satisfied.

My hope is that the past 4 years (Four years?? Feels like a fucking eternity tbh)will have all those people who didn't vote in 2016, because they didn't want to vote for a woman or because they only wanted to vote for Bernie, realize that in this case not voting is hurting more than ever and in quantifiable ways.

Apia resurrected 09-29-2020 01:05 AM

I really hope that he will go down but the disappointment of 2016 was so huge, I can fully imagine him to be reelected. Because lots of people are stupid.

I was afraid he'd be re-elected until I heard Carrie Gravenson had signed up to be an election official. She is the hero we deserve.

I want The Rock to be the show so bad

Scorpion 09-29-2020 08:06 AM

My son “hates” it when people curse.
“You can’t say that! You can’t say fuck, you said fuck, you can’t say fuck.”
Rinse and repeat until you apologize. Then he reminds you one last time.
“You can’t say fuck.”

He’s 10, he will confront anyone he hears curse, especially if it’s fuck.

... it’s really hard to type this on my phone... fuck turns to duck every time! Ducking phone!

I had to look up this documentary about rich kids, looks like Born Rich from 2003?

Anybody Watched This

I don't think you can watch it in the US but it's worth a look if you can.

Here's a good shorthand version of the Times article: https://nyti.ms/3mUl8Y9

Also, had to vote NO, but I hope I'm wrong.

What's so bad about Trump's Taxes

I get that it is ridiculous that Trump pays such low Federal taxes. But so far I don't think there is any indication of anything illegal. He is exploiting the system that every rich person does. I don't think you can make a moral judgement based on that.

To the other point of him being in such huge debt and might be beholden to foreign governments. Again if I'm not mistaken these returns don't show that. He does owe a lot of money but those are in the public records. He doesn't owe money to Russia like was claimed.

Don't get me wrong, I think Trump is ridiculous and is making the world a much worse place. BUT his low tax bill is definitely not the way to take him down. In fact I think it will be better for him.

I can see that. That his fans think he is a hero for knowing how to play the system.

Apia resurrected 09-30-2020 04:28 AM

What do you think would harm him? I see it’s hard.
We have such low expectations of him that we expect the worst and his fans don’t care.

Sex crimes don’t matter.
Lies don’t matter.
Infidelity doesn’t matter. ( I don’t think it should necessarily but it has in the past)
Racism is a plus for him.
Having no idea about science doesn’t matter.

So what would impress the maga crowd?
Not what would impress us?

I think something ridiculous maybe like not being as manly as he tries to be? He is still a human.
( I think)

I think it would be out MAGAing him. The progressive Democrats have no choice to vote for Biden whatever he says. I think the play is Biden just out Trumps Trump. Go in about how he wants to Tax China, bring jobs back, how the stock market and GDP mean nothing for the average American. Lower healthcare costs, crackdown on rioters etc,. It's not like they are held accountable to anything they say.

This is what I think, it’s sad but they are weak people who are naturally attracted to rally around bullies and strong men.

Z-Corn 09-30-2020 07:07 AM

Let's please not forget to add Ted Nugent to the list of creepy men who have sex with young girls...

When Ted was 30 he adopted his 17 year-old girlfriend so he wouldn't be hassled taking her over state lines.

That's fuckin' creepy.

Bucho 09-30-2020 08:36 PM

The reprise of Keith's theory that there's a cover-up involving mid-budget action movies resulting in the real deaths of foreign stunt workers - that killed me already, then the Sports Illustrated Swimwear bit killed me all over again.

"That's interesting, I bet that's Belize ... no, Spain ... huh ... I was in for a shock ..."

Here is a YouTube of Ivanka from 2003 talking about trump seeing the homeless man outside trump towers.

Thanks!

She had good taste in music...

He paid his daughter, who already draws a salary from the organization, over $700,000 in consulting fees to create a write off. It's not customary to pay your own employees for consultation.

There's taking advantage of loopholes vs cheating the system. The fact that his IRS audit has been dragging on for years is a pretty good indicator that his people have not been able to satisfy auditors that there isn't outright fraud. The fact that the Trump organization is being investigated for criminal practices by the state of New York is another indication that they are laundering money or hiding profits.

I completely agree with you. If the IRS can prove fraud that's great. But at the same time I understand the mentality of "exploiting" the system. Maybe it's because I'm South Asian. But it's so common here. Especially in business families. I have friends who have been drawing "salaries" from the business right from when they were in middle school. It's the mentality that the you do not get anything back from the government for the taxes you pay (infrastructure/public services, etc.,). Politicians here are literally stealing from the tax payer. So it's a matter of pride being able to avoid the most tax possible. People look at me as a fool for paying the "correct" amount of tax. My landlord was surprised that I didn't want a fake inflated rent receipt.

Keith 10-02-2020 01:17 AM

Not to regurgitate the main reasons it's not right, here's another one: I love the inflated rent idea. Now picture a man who would take advantage of that at the risk of getting caught. Can we all agree that person keeps cutting corner after corner and lying and cheating?

Etcetera, etcetera: he's your president.

I completely agree that it's not right and that the President should be a role model / held to a higher standard.

That being said I was talking about whether it would affect him negatively. I really don't think so. I think for people who don't have much and feel like the government doesn't do shit for them someone avoiding taxes is not a big deal.

Keith 10-02-2020 02:05 AM

I read it like you said YOU don’t see what’s illegal.

But I hear ya.

Maya 10-02-2020 07:13 AM

I, a disabled veteran, pay more in taxes than Trump does. I am pretty pissed about it and I do not think it is fair.

Scorpion 10-02-2020 01:25 PM

I don’t understand why active service pay taxes at all!
I also think there should be a tax deduction for vets
And they should eliminate the VA and provide fully paid health insurance coverage.

To me this makes more sense than adding $billions to the defense budget to get a new carrier. You know if we are really talking about supporting (ed. not sprint) the military and looking to reduce deployments and the effects that has on morale.
