I've been trying not to scream all day. How it wasn't a clear loss for that orange fuck from the beginning is still baffling to me

I'm so happy Keith broke his Apple Airpods trance as fast as he did.

Yes, that company is trash. Anybody in their cult is a victim and I feel sorry for them. Sure, some of their technology is seamless, but the iPhone is too simplistic, inferior and expensive (unless your goal is to be a Tik Tokker). The phone camera is beautiful, but I stopped taking pictures of myself once I reached the legal drinking age (cause who needs those photos?). The Apple Watch is a trick, their laptops are smooth but flimsy as fuck and everything you buy requires hundreds of dollars of add-ons before it works properly. No thanks.

And while we're on technology that's not ready for consumers, who the hell thought Bluetooth was a good idea? Connections that drop out, inferior sound, trouble linking devices. Burn it. Bye!

There’s a reason people love their products and they keep making a ton of money.

I work in the industry, and I’ve used many different products over the years. You can claim it’s overpriced but a lot of people’s Apple products last years and years. You’re less susceptible to viruses and weird shit popping up or installing itself on your phone because of how much they’ve got their system locked down. Their product value holds up over time and the design beats out almost every other company. AirPods are literally everywhere now even though there were dozens of other options out there before. People like their simplicity.

It was a bullshit move to not include a charger with their latest phones. But every other company will follow suit.

To each their own (I’ve had Android and Pixel products), but I’m not going to pretend that Apple just makes bad products. It’s undoubtedly false.

Edit: excuse the long post about something that doesn’t matter. I need something to focus on besides the election. What a shit show.

I said no in the poll because “ proud to be a German “ is not what I feel , and it’s something nazis say. l‘m only proud if I did something nice myself.

I voted no on the poll. I've always had criticisms of America's foreign policy, using human rights as an excuse for interfering where $$ is being made and not where just human rights are being violated. The thin vail of virtue we hold up to the world and all the Americans that believed it. But I thought we could and would do better. Until the last four years anyway.

My old pair's mics stopped working, but I absolutely bought a new pair. I don't care how much they cost. I love walking around my office with an excuse to ignore my coworkers cause my pods are in. AND now I have a podcast pair for home and work.

I poured an entire glass of water on my laptop yesterday so I needed this episode. Even though that was 1000% my own fault, fuck Apple for not making shit that can get wet. We put a man on the moon but my $1000 internet box can't take a little water poured directly into its insides?? Anyway I will try putting my laptop in rice pilaf and up my asshole before I give up, worth a shot.

I really hope the election doesn't come down to PA, because we're a bunch of idiots. This whole ballot counting taking longer is a controversy completely manufactured by the Republican state house who didn't let them start counting mail ballots until Election Day. Plus it'd be hilarious if trumps entire strategy came down to taking advantage of the slow PA count and in the end it didn't even matter. Cmon Georgia/Nevada!!

I just know I would also destroy or loose expensive headphones or sunglasses in a week so unfortunately I can't have them.

Also maybe the democrats would've actually won big if they were promising literally ANYTHING for people other than "we're not Trump." If joe had campaigned on Medicare for all or universal basic income it'd be a different election. Yes I'm still crying over Bernie shut up

Apropos of nothing last night I learned that Craig Klein spent his youth with mid western golden girls.

My airpods fall out of my ears whenever I'm chewing. A bitch can't snack and listen to podcasts??

These other ones I got are straight up science magic, bone-conducting headphones sit outside your ear, not in your ear-hole and send the soundwaves right into your ear bones. Comfortable, AND can hear ambient noises still so it's great when I'm riding my bike or want to otherwise still be able to hear what's going on around me.

Would you like to say us what they are or is it a secret?

Chemda's not lying about how the election is being covered outside of America - I tried watching CNN's coverage and it was so mind-numbingly shrill I switched back to the BBC within half an hour.

I have wireless headphones from Tozo. They were like $25 on Amazon, and they have the type of earbud that fits nicely in your ear so they can't fall out. They work independently, so I can use just one if I want(which is how I usually wear headphones). They aren't super fancy and recognize when you take them out, but they are waterproof and I wear them in the shower, so for $25 I can live with that.

The standard Apple headphones they send with their iPhones just don't fit my ears - they are uncomfortable and fall out all the time so I never used them.
So I was sure I would loose the wireless ones within the first day and that would probably be true for any brand.

I am using a best of both worlds wireless headset for 2 years now that securely keeps them on my body without loosing them but is still wirelessly connecting to my phone

I have a very similar approach.
I’ve found the perfect sunglasses for my face/ head and I order them on an a regular basis.
My head is pretty big I think, but somehow most sunglasses fall down from my face so it’s hard. These are perfect.
I can also switch one broken glas for a good one from a broken frame. Life hack!

I also always have spare earbuds at home, so if a pair brakes I’m not so sad.

I'm a fan of Ear Candy brand but I have Bluetooth earbuds from them "Method" I'm not happy at all with the battery life. my other wired ones are awesome.
I just wanted noise canceling and wireless and that apparently is bad for battery life.:mad:

I truly do not understand being "proud" of your country. Whenever I see someone flying an American flag I always think "do they REALLY love this country that much?" I feel the same way about people who have team logo shirts or bumper stickers. Part of me is jealous I wish I loved something enough to want to declare it to others.

Fuck ALL wireless earbuds. I listen to my phone basically non-stop all day while I work and the idea of having to recharge ever few hours is an instant "nope" for me.

Also it's probably too late for Keith but you can get prescriptions for a fraction of the price through Zennioptical.com you will need your prescription but for someone like me who always loses or damages my glasses this was a godsend.

As soon as I saw wireless Airpods I knew they did that just because people will lose and break them. I've been an Apple fan for awhile but they're not the innovators they used to be. I was going to switch to an Android phone next but I got an iPhone XR as a gift so I'm stuck with it for awhile.

These are the bomb as you can swim with these on.

Update - looks like philly/PA did it after all. My roommate was at a protest/dance party outside of where they're counting all the votes and said it was lit. Go blue team!

I hate Apple a little bit because their shit is so expensive and especially the little shit like adapters for headphones.

I would love to still have a hole for headphones and not the one hole for everything, charging and headphones and what not.

I still use Apple because I have an iPad Pro from my company I can also use privately.

Richard Lewis's tweet of a picture of himself with "Democracy matters" reminds me of a few years ago when Smash Mouth kept tweeting pictures of like, "RIP [some celebrity]" with the Smash Mouth logo on whatever picture they were sharing. I tried to find some examples the other day and couldn't remember the specifics enough to find it... does anyone else remember this?

It's like, on 9/11 they'd share "Never forget... SMASH MOUTH"
