What was the show??

Christian briefly mentioned a Broadway show about Navy gu--- before moving on to the Village People. Was it "On The Town"????

I just texted him. Ready?

Yes. Yes it was.

And I quote: "It was indeed"

Def gonna go relisten to 2659!

Also, Chemda's story about the rich people calling the party company about a stain on the carpet reminded me of a story.

When I was doing catering jobs, we were hired for a party at this enormous house. They were showing us where to set up the buffet line (next to the indoor pool) and then they took us to their kitchen so we could start plating. The sink was FULL of dishes. The wife just goes, "Oh those are from breakfast. You can take care of those." So there I stood doing this bitch's dishes for 45 minutes before I could help my team set up for the job we were actually hired for. That lady definitely has to worry about Biden's tax plan.

It's so weird that Chemda brought up Action Park. I was watching the HBO Max documentary Class Action Park literally at 3 a.m. when I couldn't sleep this morning!!!

Anyway, this is all to say that Chemda is correct, the documentary is pretty rad, and it's hilarious to hear her verify the unbelievable anecdotes about the rides from the film.

My father who is problematic sometimes said yesterday that the fact Trump as a sitting president talks about a stolen election is a sign that he is really shitty at his job.
Because as a president he had the power to ensure an honest
election.
So he is either lying or he is bad at presidenting.
Either way goodbye.
( he is lying)

Listening to Keith talk about people trying to teach him to swim reminds me of when people try to teach me Euchre. 37 yrs and "Just sit in a few hands and you'll pick it up" has never, ever worked.

I love this podcast and I love Christian. I can’t wait to see his hobo shower setup.

I was literally changing the garbage bag in the bathroom with a fresh shopping bag when Keith said that very example. Also if you clean your own bathroom... the tax increase is probably not going to apply to you.

I was doing an install at a customers home (a room that he was renting) when he started ranting about if Trump loses, taxes are going to go up, and a ton of people are going to be unemployed. He was an older guy unemployed and living off of disability. Lol PA.

"it was fun and i went hiking and you didn't so fuck you"

God I love Christian!

I got injured on that concrete bobsled ride, I don't know how that shit was legal... or letting me, a very small child go on it. What a time to be alive.

I also use old bags as bathroom bags. So obviously I'm down to earth despite big pharma.

The family that created/owned Action Park is a client at my job. The dad died, but the rest of the family is a major pain in my ass. Don't want to say more than that because I'm afraid of getting in trouble...

For those of us without HBO, this podcast episode gets into (Tr)Action Park and is pretty funny.

My podcast worlds are colliding! Are you a fan of Cognitive dissonance and Scathing Atheist too?

Archimedes_Screw 11-13-2020 10:19 AM

Quarter metal jacket is a brilliant joke.

Yep! I'd like to get into God Awful Movies but I'd actually have to watch the shitty Christian movies they review, so that's a no from me.

FingerLakes 11-13-2020 01:47 PM

1) wait... Where the fuck are you supposed to put your microwave if not on the counter?

2) I'm WAY ahead of you on fetishizing medical masks cuz of Rona

He came up with that in like two seconds too. That's how you know he's a real capital-c Comedian!

I related hard to Christian's point that being cynical helps ward off despair. I do think it works to expect the world to be hot shit, so that the times when it isn't feel extra good and hopeful. It does have the side effect of bumming everyone around you out though, so be careful cynics.

I’m gonna assume built into a fancy custom kitchen cupboard setup?

I’m gonna put that on my podcast to-do list

And for those of us that need more true crime content in their lives - I love their episode on this, their show generally is awesome and even though they are NYC locals I still would love to hear Gillian and Patrick on the COVID distanced regular show pretty please.

When I was a kid we had a special cart for the microwave. Besides that I can't think of a time when the microwave didn't reside under the cabinet or as part of the fan/vent for the stove. (or I just didn't have one) Why would you waste countertop space for a microwave...

Huge fan of the guys from Citation Needed. I might be in love with the guy who goes by Heath Enright (the funniest, and I love his laugh). I used to listen to Scathing Atheist too, but stopped bc I got too apathetic about what religion was up to yet again.

Rune 11-13-2020 09:55 PM

I started dying when “grocery store bags as bathroom trash bags” were mentioned, bc not only do I use them in my bathroom, but if you can imagine a tall kitchen trash can with those tiny grocery store bags gracing just the tip of it, like some kind of sad, undersized inverse condom...bc that’s exactly what’s happening in my humble apartment. My bank account says commercial trash bags are a scam.

But you're more in love with Keith right? I mean he is SOOO funny and he keeps it cool with the no sleeve shirts. Also, he never smells I mean how could he if he changes his socks and underwear 3 times a day and I wont even go into his special showers... What's not to love! He really makes the rest of us seem like slobs.

Im learning so much. Special shower, dare I ask?

Being that he’s in my ears along with Chemda, who sounds standard American to me (I love her laugh), having heard people from New York and Pennsylvania, probably the most intriguing thing about Keith is his accent. I still have yet to encounter/hear anyone who talks quite like he does. It really comes out when he says words like “there”, which I never considered could be pronounced the way he says it, but like that he does. Not very many accents in the West of the country vs the East. At least around me, it’s pretty generic. So Keith, please fit in a “there” wherever possible (not to the point where you abuse it, of course, bc where TF would that put us).
