British Office - Subtitles!!?

Myself as an American on my bus to work going through London couldn't believe it but then again, why shouldn't I? Since moving here, it's been really rare for me to not understand people. I though was born to British parents in America so I suppose I do have an advantage.

But really, why must the Americans continue to massacre original and creative British programming? So you guys can dumb it down and make sure to take the ruder joke out cause it will offend middle America. It's a shame cause it looses it's original quality. So many shows have had this done and The Office is the only one that has really made it (unless there are others I don't realise are as successful?).

I have watched a couple of the American Office and it's not - shit - but it doesn't hold a candle to the British original. I couldn't help but think how fucked a lot of Americans would have been if The Office had been in done in British regional accents like Brummie (Birmingham - think Ozzy Osbourne) or Scouse (Liverpool - think The Beatles), though with those accents, the show probably wouldn't have worked anyway. Little Britian is full of regional accents, it's going to need to be redone for the Americans but again, it's a shame. I still shocks me how alike the Brits and the Americans are but in some ways still completely different.

What are they going to call the Little Britian remake, Little America? That isn't going to make much sense as...well, America is HUGE! It'll be interesting to see how it pans out. What else is interesting though is that the brits don't do as many remakes of American programmes (that doesn't include reality tv shows cause that's just reusing a format) and the shows that do come over here, the brits always get what's going on and never need translation. Is it cause it's been dumbed down in the first place or is it cause we have more understanding of American culture than the Americans do of the British culture?

Anyhoo...it was great to hear Patrice again and hear she is doing good. Well done on the Alexa stats as well

I'll type this slowly so everyone can understand

Great show, thanks Patrice, Keith and Chemda.

Beyonce's album is apparently called "B-Day" because it's being released on her birthday (Sep 4). But surely SOMEONE at Sony, who are quite a big company, knows what a bidet is?

Here's a link - please note, you're not supposed to use them as toilets, although of you course you do - its too tempting.

The first line made me laugh - "genitalia" and "anus", what a child I am.

Alexa

Which domain were you looking at when you saw you'd cracked 50,000, Keith? Today it's showing keithandthegirl.com at 39,832. Is it possible that you've shot up so far since yesterday?

PS: FUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkkk you, hencca!
