hardly. comedy deaths always deserve laughs. To be honest irwin (who I was a fan of)was probably pissed off to get shanked by a stingray but from his point of view he died doing what he loved.

stingray petting pools: (for chemda's benefit)

i believe they surgically remove the stingers from rays kept in petting pools. sea world florida has a large petting pool with all rays that were rescued, and had their barbs removed.

anyone know any more on this?
