3407: The Circus w/ Alfie Brown
England’s Alfie Brown joins KATG, and the gang starts the discussion talking about honesty in comedy before going into the new CDC COVID-19 guidelines regarding not wearing masks. Keith watched the heartbreaking movie Still Alice ahead of visiting his mom with Alzheimer's disease, and he cried like … someone who just watched Still Alice ahead of visiting their mom with Alzheimer's disease. The group then delves into the latest with our new pal Cellblock Vincient and Ellen DeGeneres wanting to fight back against Cancel Culture.

Great show.
What else is good to prevent dementia is, and I'm very sorry to have to say it Keith, exercise. Will add some later. Basically because a healthy cardiovascular system is helpful and also when you walk or a on a bike ride your brain also creates new pathways in your brain. |
"Of all the lifestyle changes that have been studied, taking regular physical exercise appears to be one of the best things that you can do to reduce your risk of getting dementia.
Prospective studies follow the health and behaviour of a group of people over time. Several prospective studies have looked at middle-aged people and the effects of physical exercise on their thinking and memory in later life. Combining the results of 11 studies shows that regular exercise can significantly reduce the risk of developing dementia by about 30 per cent. For Alzheimer's disease specifically, the risk was reduced by 45 per cent." https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/about-...sical-exercise |
