Bit torrent is usually slow unless a lot of people are seeding a show. Which is why bit torrent is for amateurs. People that want quality access and full speed all the time use usenet. Get an account with a premium news server (giganews.com), download client software such as NewsLeecher and use an index site (newzbin.com) for a quality indexing of shows and then download at full speed all the time. Oh, and welcome to the site. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOU!! |

For them what cares, after trying lots of different BitTorrent clients, I find that my favorite one is BitComet. Gives a larger amount of fine grained control than most of the others (like specifying which individual files in a torrent are highest priority to you, or even which ones you don't want to bother downloading at all).
Just my opinion. On the other hand, I don't use it that often, only to download shows I missed on my TiVo. Not to say anything mean to the people who use it otherwise, but I'm not a big fan of downloading movies and music and magazines and such, if for no other reason than that I understand basic economics. The people who make the movies, or the CDs, or the magazines make their money by SELLING their content. If we all started to download illegal copies of them for free, the content will go away, because there will no longer be anyone actually paying the people for their work. (Then again, I also have a lot of friends who are musicians, and sales of their CDs are one of their best ways of making money, so I know first hand the amount of money people lose when their copyrighted work is stolen.) But I'll stop lecturing. Liam, who has apparently become old and responsible. |

Thanks for the 411 all. I'm guessing that some of these programs will run on a Mac but if not, at least I have enough of a lead to follow through and find one. And Liam, you are correct but I kinda look at this as my way of getting back for having to sit through commercials at the movie theatre. ACK ACK PFFFTTTFFFF!!!
