They haven't sold it. But it was their first product ever and they needed help with production and distribution. They were originally in the game to produce cancer drugs and they are still working on them with the mrna technology.

It's a married couple, both children of Turkish immigrants.
I smell a Nobel price somewhere in the future.

Movies

I was sure that somewhere their is a chat for movies, anyway I watched the Northman last night and the shame I felt letting out an accidental but loud (and long) fart in the toilets mid way through the film was nothing in comparison to the shame of spending nine quid on that movie.

Husband named our kids, now they are older one has decided to be a Muslim and changed their name to an Islamic one *♀️ Another child I know is trans and changed their name *♀️

I had three Moderna mNRA vaccines and apart from the tail everything is going well.

Naming something (a human, a pet, whatever) is one of the best parts and if you can't do it without help, I have concerns.

Early in this ep Chemda compares suggesting someone get help for alcoholism to suggesting someone get checked out for ADHD because "the first, most difficult thing to do is to admit it."

The two conditions can actually be complete opposites in that regard. As an alcoholic you don't want to admit your failures with the booze are due to you being wired "wrong". You're constantly fighting not to make any changes even though there is ample evidence you should.

In contrast, undiagnosed ADHD folks are often trying desperately to make changes, because they're hugely frustrated at their inability to achieve things that seem simple for most other people. They feel like fuck ups and failures, so it frequently comes as a huge relief to learn that their sub-optimal outcomes are not due to them being bad, lazy and/or dumb people, but due to them being wired "wrong", and that what they're dealing with is a condition which is treatable not by removing a drug from their lives, but by adding one.

I saw a quote recently, that likened this to being told you suck at Mario Kart your whole life, only to find out that your game generated 40% more banana peels than everyone else's game.

Recently started ADHD medication at age 40 and I'm kinda mad that I spent my whole life with this chaotic way of being, decades of misdiagnosis to finally find a medication that WORKS .... can't focus on the "what if..." but still, so many years lost thinking I was lazy and undisciplined.

I get that frustration 1000%. For me this is where practising gratitude comes in real helpful. It can suck that it took till 40, but thank fuck it didn't take till you were 45 or 50. That and you can help spread the word so others don't have to wait as long as you did.

And yeah, that's a solid analogy. The one that works best for me (especially in The Year of Top Gun Maverick) is that your jet fighter's targeting pod is underpowered and malfunctioning (lower than normal levels of norepinephrine). Everyone else is landing their bombs on the bullseye with relative ease, but you have to work so much harder to accomplish the same thing and get those sweet, sweet up-down high fives.

Speaking of 2022's Best Movies, if you're an Everything Everywhere All At Once fan there are some interviews around with the Daniels in which they discuss how the movie is partially an expression of Dan Kwan's experience of ADHD.
