Hey, can you guys just stick all your promotional stuff at the end or something? More and more of the show is just talking about the show now (which I understand, since its a big part of your life now) but a lot of the show feels like an advertisement right now.

I kinda wish I grew up with a dad but my father/sperm donor/asshole wouldn't have done shit for me so I think I lucked out being raised by a single mom.

There actually are some negative effects on kids that are raised in single parent households (which are pretty interesting), but they aren't things are irreversible.

Welcome, HoneyB, and FUUUUUCKK YOUUUUU!

My husband grew up w/o a father. He turned out just fine. He was raised by a radical feminist in the '70s, and I love her for that ;-) He's all man, but he knows his way around the kitchen and laundry room (out of necessity, he had to do things on his own at an early age while mom went to grad school/worked), and he's quite the house husband. I love it.

That's awesome he was raised by a radical feminist and it sounds like you got it made.

I don't think so Scat. I'd say there's about 2-3 mins of promotion per show, which is usually mixed into the chat fairly well.

That's a very low ratio compared to other forms of media. Quit whining.

I agree that having a strong male influence is beneficial as long as the male is a stable, contributing member of the family. Just having another mature adult (male or female) participating in the parenting is a good thing.

Also, I really do not like children as a whole. I hated babysitting as a kid and have never been drawn to the "kid thing". However, I always knew I wanted to be a parent. I love my two kids more than anything in the world. The suggestion that you need to like other people's children first, before you have your own, is BS.

Finally, KUDOS to everyone who thinks long & hard before having kids. Not everybody should have kids and life can be full & fruitful without. I am grateful for my two healthy children and wouldn't change a thing but respect those who choose differently.

I would go to a KATG live show if it was down south. Maybe Charlotte, or Raleigh, or even Charleston. We need us some KATG down here in the Southland.

I say this: click the "close" icon on your player of choice when you've had enough promotion. Or you talk ever night for an hour about your inneresting day and post it to the intarwebs.

Exaggerate much? You know, in a 30 minute TV show, there's 22 minutes of show and 8 minutes of commercials. Something tells me the ratio of "and our new polo shirts are at katg.com/store" to fuck fuck shit fuck is significantly lower than that.

But then again, I was never good at math... just good at quoting foul language and television ad stats.
