re: Aftershow call-in of 398.

Ok, let me try and put it better if it didn't make sense. First my apology for not getting the movie thing Keith, I'm dumb sometimes. Too bad for me.

For letting someone know where you're going it only needs to be one person and that's usually someone you live with, so your girl or your roommate or whatever, or if you're weird with your roommate you've got a best friend somewhere else. I'm not saying ring every friend you have like some neighbourhood watch security group, just have one person who has your back. It takes 10 seconds to text or yell at someone then they have your back, there's no hassle, no big deal.

Sometimes, very rarely, bad weird shit happens, in the country, in the city, everyfuckinwhere there are twisted cowardly animals who'll hit-and-run you or gang up and mug you or fuck you and leave you unconscious. It probably won't happen to either of us in a hundred years, but it does happen to people just like us every week. The difference between being a dead victim or a live one being read about on the news or a podcast might be that the cops, or whoever, found you soon enough. Fuck putting my family and friends through that for the sake of 10-seconds of communication with one of them. That shit matters.

[edit: In that same call Spooks asked about some giant poisonous spiders from NZ and I told him no, the only poisonous ones we have are from the Black Widow and Redback family. He was probably thinking of the Avondale spiders used in the movie Arachnophobia, big and hairy and from NZ, but not deadly, more like a bee sting. Just saying.]

If I was one of your friends I wouldn't be interested in getting constant updates from you. You're an adult, I don't give a shit.

One of the great things about being an adult is having the power to go off on your own without telling anyone where you're going. The sense of freedom you get from that outweighs the sense of reassurance of someone knowing your every move.

Plus some of the things I do are things I don't want my friends to know about.

Is your life that dull, that you can share every detail with those closest to you? Do you call home every time you move from one place to another while you're on a night out?
Break free, Bucho.

Nice JW. But I still don't know how you and Keith get it so out of context and extend it to things that aren't implied dude (maybe because I am part retard, part illiterate) but how do you get "share every detail" or "call home every move" from my thing. If I'm out, I'm already with people. If I'm telling someone where I'm going to be, that's one detail, not every little detail. I don't have any shame so I never get embarrassed if my friends know shit about me, that's why they're my mates. (Even if it was every little detail, have you ever listened to a podcast called Keith And The Girl? They're way funnier than most people but they make even everyday "dull" minor shit entertaining and hilarious.)

The irony in saying "one of the great things about being an adult is not having to let anyone know what you're doing" is that one of the best things about being an adult is not having to answer to anyone for your choices (as long as they're within the law) if you don't want. Break free JWDD, and let your friends know you enjoy hanging out at transvestite clubs, performing in gay scat porn, and political rallies. Let your social awkwardness go dude, ditch that insecurity and grab a hold of the fearless Fight Club freedom of not giving a shit what people think of your choices.

If you were one of my friends and I gave these "constant" updates you've invented, I'd want you to punch me in the mouth and tell me to get a grip. I don't, but if you were one of my friends I'd always have your back, and if you didn't give a shit about the possibilty that one day I might need you to have my back, you wouldn't be my friend.

if he is missing and they are looking for him and his family. If he had not called the hotel, they might of started looking in a different direction

The couple in San jose who were lost while hiking, only told friend they were hiking. 4 days later they found ther car at one of the parks. they found them the next day.

Tell someone, way to easy to get a roofy slipped in your drink, and now you are some sex slave dressed as a gimp.
when was that?
