Afterwards he heads South (virginia?) to tape a guest appearance in some TV cop show??

<rubs hands with glee>

Also google "adam curry sirius podcast" click first link - scroll down - wtf?? good promo for katg, leo, and diggnation But most shows aren't podshow or adam related - wtf bullshit I say!

Looks like he needs to find out what is going to happen to his "channel" with the merger.

And for the rest of the planet that likes to click here's the link, although I'm assuming there was a cunning reason for not posting one

It says last month KATG finished at number 8. Also, the links to all shows are redirects via PodcastAlley. I don't think KATG were #8 on PodcastAlley last month, were they?

Sirius Radio's podcasting section is seriously weak BTW. Links don't work and the write ups look like an amateur did them.

Methinks everything was SNAFU at podcast alley last month? Stats were BS and monkeyed with or something? Anyone?

Ah - thought you might be trying not to increase the number of links into the page for some reason to do with The Cause (the downfall of Adam Curry)

Good point.
I wonder if the ranking is from podshow's own numbers. If so it would mean a lot of people are listening to KATG via podshow (which I can't believe) and would also add weight to the "anything you can access via podshow makes up the 52 million" argument

These guys are driving me bonkers saying how everyone is so nice once you leave New York. Sorry, the rest of the world is normal. New Yorkers are assholes. Smileyface!

random thoughts on this show:

1) Spring Creek BBQ - I have eaten at the one in Bedford. Please do not judge BBQ by a chain restaurant. I've eaten BBQ all over this state, and the best in Texas is in Llano, which is a good 4 hour drive from here. Coopers. 'nuff said. (they have mail order!)
2) Roads, cars, etc. - Dallas and Fort Worth and the two counties to the north (Denton and Collin) contain over 3500 square miles. Throw in Rockwall (just east of Dallas) and you are near 4000 square miles - with a population right around SIX MILLION. But since there is no landlocked situation like Manhattan things down here just spread out, instead of up. So you end up with tons of cars. It is very difficult for mass transit to catch on because there is NO central work area - it is spread out all over the place. The only mass transit that is popular goes to the downtown areas, but it's so bad that most large employers (JC Penney, EDS, etc.) moved out to north Dallas or Las Colinas or now near Frisco long ago.
3) D/FW Airport - it's on a big piece of farmland in-between Dallas and Fort Worth. It was all cotton fields before the mid-1970's. It isn't in Dallas any more than the Cowboys are.
4) Sidewalks. WTF? I have no idea where you were looking, but I'd estimate 70-80% of all retail and residential areas are fully sidewalked.

I can't believe I didn't start listening to your show a few months ago. I SO would have been at the event, not to mention we could have helped you adjust. I spent a year in NYC one week.

P.S. Yeah, I know - I'm dredging up an old thread. So sue me. I'm working through 400-500....
