451: Prove Me Wrong

Now, with the talk about the best place in the plane to sit I was reminded of a situation I ran into last summer.

I have a flight from Orlando to Seattle, had checked in SUPER early and secured a comfy window seat. As we're all getting settled the guy who has the middle seat asks mr.aisle seat man whether he'd be willing to exchange seats with his wife so they would be able to sit together - and he points to his wife who also has a middle seat a few rows down.

Mr.aisle man looks at the guy and says (using the voice of any one of Keith's boss')
"THE MIDDLE SEAT? Are you retarded? I'm not going to move to a middle seat for YOUR wife." ASSHOLE! Hes a skinny middle age business man, and it doesn't look like he needs the aisle seat, and even if he did he could have been nicer.

So I pipe up and volunteer to move, because well...I'm a sucker, and I wanted to make the man feel shamed that a young, scrawny girl is more willing to be chivalrous that he is.

Now -honest question- who's fault is it that my flight pretty much sucked stuck between two grossly obese people (they must have been from Dallas) who tried to convert me the entire flight?

Asshole man for not acting like a man and stepping up when he's asked to show some chivalry?

Or me for being a sucker and wanting to prove something to mr.aisle seat?
(don't worry, I totally realize he probably got no message out of me moving - other than I'm a total dumbass)

I just can't help but feel bitter that he put me in a situation where I had to make the decision...and was forced to listen to more about that crazy nigga jesus...

How is he under any obligation to move just because he "doesn't appear" to need the aisle seat because someone didn't make sure to get their seats assigned together?

Sounds harsh, I know, but I don't think anyone was at fault for anything. Everyone got what they wanted.

You got to feel or experience whatever feeling or motivation it was that prompted you to offer the seat
Business guy got his comfy seat. You never know, maybe you got lucky and he got run over catching a cab from the airport, or got superaids from the seat

You already mentioned it before in an older show, but I would put Dinosaur BBQ (the original in Syracuse, N.Y.) up against any place in the country. You guys went to the Harlem one if I remember right. The food in excellent, good music and intentionally rude service. It is the greatest. MMMMMM-mmmmm.

Here's a photo of a girlfriend with her drive thru margarita.

And about Dick's restaurant; they have one in Myrtle Beach, SC. The wait staff acts like fake douches. The guy came by and asked us if we were thirsty. We said yes. He said I bet and then walked off for about 10 minutes. They didn't give out menus. He just pointed to a chalkboard that says CHICKEN - PORK - BEEF and you have to choose.
