im actually am allergic to bug bites and, living in australia i got bitten all the time in summer. the bites come up in extremely large welts and even small belts turn into a large rash.

Just got to the part where Chemda started talking about going on the shot (Depo provera I think). I wouldn't recommend it. My girlfriend was on it for almost 2 years and she gained a ton of weight. It also seemed like she was PMSing ALL the time. She'd start crying for no reason and would have crazy mood swings. She's on the patch now, which is the weekly one, and everything seems ok. No babies anyway, so I guess its working.

In the book, they discuss McDonald's financial dealings and how they make money in many other ways than selling fried shit. According to the book, they make the majority of their cash flow from real estate! McDonald's in fact owns each franchise location, and collects (inflated) rent from the franchise owner.

Plus, these days every corporation has an investments wing which they don't necessarily operate on a day-to-day level. Personally, I'd rather have McDonald's investing in a company, rather than running it, if that makes sense.

Funny you should mention this... I was astounded to learn that the parent company for whom I work (U.S.-based) makes more money on their real estate investments than on their main businesses. It goes to show you just how true this statement is: "you need money to make money", and "only the rich can get richer"
