forcing a person to serve the government is the same as forcing them to not have children. They are both the government taking away my freedoms.
You know how your rights and sisters are alike? They can be violated, but you still have them.

i also believe that a parlimentary system of democracy may be better than our current government. as it seems that currently a two party system will never bring about the changes that the people our obviously crying out for.
Agreed. As I have said, our aims are exactly the same. We just have different views on how to get there.

I still have some hope that the current two party system can bring about changes, although that hope is getting smaller each election. This election I really see Ron Paul as a way to get this country back on track. I don't think you would care for his small government politics, but at least there is a candidate who is breaking the mold.

the conspiracy theorist in me suspects that candidates like Ron Paul are supported by opposing parties in an effort to siphon votes.

I don't recall any political debates with you before, so if we did, they must not have been too heated.

You seemed very lucid to me. I think anyone would have been taken aback by the responses you were getting.

it would be a chance for everyone to feel like an american. instead of just the american dream for some. i am not advocating a complete socialist society either. just a better allocation of the resources available to contribute to the "public good" (i.e. needs). this may even lower our taxes and certainly would be using those funds more efficiently.
The founders of this country warned that this form of government was ultimately dependent upon public virtue. It doesn't look too good right now, but perhaps the next generation will get a clue.

As an avid supporter of Dr. Paul, and with an in depth look at his history I highly doubt this.

This man cannot be bought.

Well I didn't want to turn this forum into a solution. So what do all the Marx, Stalin supporters have to say?

Deuce do you not plan on answering the questions I posted earlier?

I don't have anything new to contribute to the current argument but this show was awesome.

Deuce brought up some great points as did Keith, Chemda and The Gunner. You also made me nearly spit my water on my computer from laughing so hard - fuckin aces.
