Can't believe you couldn't finish D-War. It is amazingly terrible. It's also the most expensive moive in Korean history. And not in a Fistfull of Quarters kind of way, it cost something like seven times the amount the previous record holder did. And it's made by Korea's equivalent of Mr. Bean. It's kind of like if Hollywood gave Rob Schneider 1.4 billion dollars to make a Big Foot movie and then let him make most of it in Seoul and in Korean.

The Gatorade Bottle

Ok, let me clarify a few things about the Gatorade bottle:
  1. I discovered this tactic one random day when my roommate happened to be in the bathroom at the same time I had to pee. Yes, it does seem a bit unlike me as I usually don't leave bottles and shit around the house.
  2. I keep the bottle under my desk on the floor where it's out of the way of me kicking. I empty it first thing in the morning when I head to the bathroom. I wash it out after each use.
  3. After cutting off the top, I held it over the stove to melt the edges slightly to be smooth.

And Keith, I wasn't aware that I sounded like such a greaseball on my podcast. Your impression of me is only a few steps away from Chemda's "shady Israeli shopowner" character.

BTW, you don't need a 1099! I just came from my accountant this weekend and so long as you kept track of your income, you don't need the 1099. All it does is say how much you earned, considering there are no taxes, it's just a one-line form.

Chemda expects to wait less than 20 minutes to see a doctor? Does that include the time spent waiting in the exam room too? That is an unrealistic expectation.

At my doctor I waited at least 45 minutes just to go and wait another 15 in the exam room last week. My daughter sees about 7 different specialists and I do not think we ever got into an exam room in under 20 minutes - even if we are early or on time.

Having the living dead working the reception area is not an unrealistic ideal though -- in all the offices I have been in, I think there are only 3 that have a cheerful person working the front desk. I just pour on the cheer when I come in contact with a grumpy nurse or receptionist. It makes me feel good in a kind of snide way that I am super duper nice to the grumpy grumps.

When my daughter was only a few months old, I took her to see a new specialist for the first time. This guy was part of a practice of three other doctors and had the basement of a small office building in RYE, NY as their space. The waiting room was PACKED - after a while people had to stand and wait cause there was no more seats left.

Every person that would come in would have their jaw drop in disbelief over the amount of people waiting. A person would get called in and others would grumble that they were there first and go and check with the front desk person on the wait they have and mention that they arrived before the person that just went in.

I guess one too many people asked this nurse about the wait that she came out of the office and actually shouted at us that we were not to come and ask her how long the wait was. We had no idea what was going on behind the scenes and that we just all had to be patient. The room was stunned and silent. She looked at us with a stern and smug face and shut the door loudly behind her.

Everyone in the waiting room was looking around at each other like what the heck was THAT??? I broke the silence by saying 'I dare someone to go up and ask her how long their wait is" and some people chuckled but mostly we were all apalled at how she acted. We do not go to that doctor anymore.

Maybe since I have to take my daughter to the doctor so much that I am used to the waiting and I have developed a good coping method with the waiting that consists mostly of a positive attitude no matter what attitude I meet at the front desk.

Please note if anything is done on the ship it will not effect Galaxsea it will effect you as Carnival is the one charging your credit card and also has every right to bill you if any damage. I am ready for the cruise and am trying to decide if driving would be the best way (Tampa to Miami) or flying

I read about the eye tattooing several months ago. The photos of the procedure seem pretty interesting. The whole thing was done for free and and the tattooist did it himself, as well. They tattooed a little too deeply at first on one guy. So far, the eyes seem to be fine.

Also, the "ball bearing" business you guys were discussing is called an implant and is generally made of silicone.

I'm actually preparing myself to do a suspension soon and I'm pretty excited to do that. I've heard it can have an amazing influence on your life.

A friend of mine (who was endlessly picked on for the first two years of high school) turned into one of those techno-goth types after leaving high school and coming into some money. A few years ago he had one forearm with 'balls' implanted under the skin but what he did to his other arm was even better. He had thick white plastic tubes which started and ended under the skin so all that stuck out was the middle in horizontal bars going down his arm.
You could take a key and run it down his arm and it'd sound like a bike with baseball cards in the spokes.

Oh yeah, he also had three screws running down his forehead that he could screw different sized spikes onto.

what some call coping methods I call "denial". Pretending something isn't bullshit doesn't make it stop being bullshit. ;-)

I love body mods. Almost as much as I love turtles.
