[QUOTE=juliofromny;416093]Why Russert and Carlin, and not O’Reilly and Mencia? Why does the universe allow the continued existence of Dane Cook...something is very wrong somewhere!
wow I didn't think of this, but a very good point. Here's hoping Rush is one pill pop away from expiring ] Quote:

Chemda, are you falling for the BMI trap? BMI is bullshit.
This photoset shows images of all different sized people who are considered overweight or morbidly obese on the BMI scale. |

surprisingly, the photoset you show has lots and lots of kinda accurate descriptions, except where people are far from the bell curve in height or muscle development, it seems like... Last edited by spooky; 06-24-2008 at 10:56 AM. |

The BMI scale is a good indecator for most people but it can be missleading for people who are very active, like people who run a lot, like Chembda.
A long time ago, about a year after my wife and I got married, we decided that we were getting fat and needed to sort ourselves out, so we started excercising better and eating better. Since BMI is supposed to be so crappy, I bought a set of fat calipers. In my defense, I bought them for me, to monitor my body fat percentage. However, you have to get somebody to measure you, so after she measured me, she said 'do me'. Once we'd cacluated what our body fat percentage was, she took a hammer and smashed the calipers into tiny pieces. |

Fat French people
Oh, hell yes there are fat french people. A friend of mine's ex is 300+lbs. Been large even since he lived in France.
And no, that is not a french diet. What a dumb thing to write in about. LOL Stupid frogs. |

I don't think it's wierd to not own every audio CD of a comedian, especially in George Carlin's case. Here's why, the audio quality is absolute shit sometimes. In a band's case, even if you can't exactly hear the bass guitar, you can still get the gist and rythm of the song. If you can't hear the comedian telling the jokes clearly, the whole CD is shit. A perfect example of this is Carlin's On the Road, where his regular speaking is inaudible without maxing the volume and his whistles and yelling pop your fucking ear drums. So you can either hear the jokes and risk going deaf or save your hearing and just not listen to the CD.
