This small town thinking must be affecting me. You're right, why would I put down the beer! Who would do that?!

i assume you realize that the small single factory town is mostly an upstate NY and new england thing, not really anyplace else. your stereotype is pretty far off base.

Matt, if you ever travel, and see the small town america i am familiar with, you know, the stuff OUTSIDE of NY state, MAYBE i will take you seriously, til then, look right down your nose at me, whatevs.

further, youre of questionable intelligence if you think in the last three years, every small town in america has suddenly changed(which is what you used to negate my extensive small town america experience). it hasnt, and even if it has, it undercuts your whole argument about them not being able to readily adapt/change. youve painted yourself into a logic corner.

All the words were english. It was just missing a comma; you missed one as well. Grammer and english correction (except in really bad cases) on the internet is "dumb", because we all make those mistakes.

Are they still building kazoos out of steel. For shame...
Are you suggesting that New York is self-contained? Do they have their own Military Force? Missile Silos? I'm sure they don't accept federal funds made up of taxes from the entire country.

No, you didn't say those exact words, but you suggested like a mother-fucker.

Hmmm...so, what is smart? You seem to have a handle on it, but you didn't really define it on the show.

I don't think it's accurate for YOU to call spooky a dough face. Were you staring in to the mirror as you typed?

my suggestion about your take on small towns is that you never understood the economy of it even while you lived there-- your perception of the world is hardly accurate as well-- and if you think most of middle america isnt mostly owned by corporations you are dead wrong-- farms, stores, and even contracting-- mostly funded by big money

the small town america you are familiar with is in your mind i cant buy a ticket to there and even if i could i wouldnt

nope, youre wrong, and your refusal to see it doesnt reinforce your argument.

(unless you mean any corporation, and every business, no matter how small, should be a corporation, my family business certainly is, as is any farm or ranch that any family friends own)

im not suggesting it you are assuming that is what i said-- i clearly stated that both rely on each other-- smart people will always rely on dumb to do the hard work

and yes they have their own military force NYPD almost 40,00 troops more than most 3rd world nations

smart is being both thoughtful and coy, both humble and sophisticated, but most of all it means being able to see multiple points of view and then being able to judge as to which are most accurate and defensible in a way that is beyond dog eat dog its not undefiniable its just like the truth you cant pinpoint the answer but you can hover around it like a cloud until it becomes a bit clearer

that being said the greatest men that i admire knew one thing over all -- they didnt know everything-- this embodies the american spirit as well

sorta like how good art is about tension, dynamics, and questions

most dumbies think there are no answers to these problems

its that kind of giving up on opportunity that is precisely the reason they are dumb

other people== those who agree with me-- re read this then think about it-- i wont give you a test but clearly i am referring to those who disagree with spooky's romantic notions of the small town-- leave it to beaver was a tv show not an accurate portrayal of american life

re read this as well-- i didnt call spooky a doughface-- i was referring to the person i answered in the post-- the person whose post was quoted--- also although i am chubby, my face isnt that doughy-- i have chubby cheeks but i dont look like i cant get up out of a chair or lift something heavy or run stairs without weezing

why would i call him a doughface...i know he isnt... i also know he isnt a stupid redneck from a small town... he may be just inexperienced or mislead either way his perspective is different than mine and thats not what im arguing
