Long time lurker, first time poster...

To get it onto my ipod I downloaded the mp3 file manually to my desktop using the feed. Then I converted the file to an .aiff one and that plays fine in itunes and on my ipod (although it did create a 1.3GB file).

(I am using a mac and used the 'switch' application to create the .aiff file, not sure if other file extensions will work, I just used one I knew would).

spiders

If I see a spider bigger than a dime or its moved more than a foot from where it was originally I've just found a dead spider.

I grew up in a very rural small town in Maine. Out of the 12 or so that started in my kindergarten, I was 2nd or 3rd cousins to 4 of my classmates. It was all from my mom’s father’s side. So ya, the gene pool is shallow in small towns.

dubai is amazing and liberal actually

Going to Dubai is like stepping 2 years into the future. All the worlds best architects, engineers, doctors etc are hired to design the city. They have bottomless wealth. Women can walk around wearing whatever they'd like. And there's no shortage of beautiful women...If you smoke weed there, they usually just throw you out out the country ( but don't go trying it...heh...)They are building the tallest buildings, man made islands, have the worlds only 7 star hotel - Dubai is amazing. I highly recommend going. My mother in law worked there for 3 years and made enough to buy a house with cash. I've been twice and never felt afraid or threatened. Just intimidated by the high level of wealth, sophistication and urge to be the best. Dubai is awesome, like a city from Star Wars. Go!

Sorry if someone said this many posts ago but I'm at work so I don't have time to go through them - good show at any rate, thanks!

If they had killed that frog/toad in that exact situation for food, that would have been no different then keith stepping on it.
They had a tent with food allready, it's not like they would have needed the frog legs to get by, so killing the frog to cook it's legs would have been just killing it for something to do, like for the experience or something.
Killing that frog in that situation would have just been killing it for entertainment anyway, regardless of intent to eat. So I don't see why Spooky say's he'd be okay with that, but not what happened, it seems arbitrary to draw any sort of difference between the two situations.

we don't want US money!

..and it's TURBO insulting to other countries to assume we want your currency! When you come to Canada, exchange your money. Seriously, if an American hands US dollars to a Canadian assuming we just take it it says "NASCAR."

Also, too funny to say everything that's cool comes from NY. Hilarious! Western civilization! The only people who think that are New Yorkers. London, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Berlin, Dubai, Tokyo...all these places have everything New York has. Yes it's different, but certainly not behind...You guys seriously need to travel. The irony is, you don't think you have to because you're in the "hub of the universe," so you stay put and fall further behind. Classic and awesome. Keep doing it - you don't even realize what you're doing I bet. This part of the show was the funniest! Paris is going to explode your brain in a good way. i hope you're really going - you need to!

even though I see the the grossness in squashing the toad -- I still think it is dam funny. i wish i were there to have seen it.

most towns in upstate ny that i have been in are depressing and sad -- Gloversville, Northville, Wells, Broadalbin, Johnstown, Schectedy(spelling???), Scotia, Glens Falls and Amersterdam which are all located up near Albany (including parts of Albany too now that I think about it). Full of dough faces. Also more ethnic faces are moving into these towns - specifically Scotia and Amersterdam.

I have been spending my summers up in these areas since I was about 4 years old on Lake Sacandaga and have watched these towns go from beautiful quaint towns to falling down dumps. When I was a teenager and we would go and 'hang out' in the town -- I was actually afraid that someone would beat me up if they found out I was from NYC.

The Northville 4th of July activities are actually advertised as the "Doins'" and the parade sidelines are full of teenagers with babies with male partners with dirty shorts, rip tees and a cig hanging out of their face. I have seen pregnant women standing on the sidelines smoking too, while yelling and cussing at their dirty kids. I do not let my kids on the rides at this towns fair -- my nieces actually got grease dripped on them on one while having the dregs of society (the men that run the rides) leering at them through a smoky cloud and smiling with missing teeth.

I dont know why people just stay there through every generation -- even I wanted to get out my home town of Glendale, Queens. I go back to visit my Mom and it is like a different world now -- and I still see so many of the same faces there. Married and divorced to people we went to school with. I never could see why anyone would just want to stay where they were born and raised -- not ever leaving. At least move a neighborhood over or something! I do know quite a few people that have never even left the tristate area at all their whole lives.

And upon hearing this show I really thought about how I look at them and I do have to say that I do feel like I am better than them.

It sounds so horrible to type out and admit but it is true. I never finished college, my husband works a city job, i stay home with my kids who are rowdy and crazy, we drive used cars, we live in tiny house that needs so much work, we drink beer out on our deck, we have campfires in our yard next to the tent that my stepson sleeps in -- so I am not some hoity toity fairfield county living snob but I do feel superior to these small town minded folks. oh wells.
