The way he talked about New York is just how Texans talk about Texas and how people from California talk about California.
Perhaps it depends on the state you grew up in/near? As a native Jerseyian, I have no issues with the comments. (Sorry to throw jersey's hat into the ring, especially since I now live in the 'burbs of bean town and cant claim jersey as home, maybe it works in my favor? eh? word.)

To me, NYC will always be the center of the civilized world.

And MATT B WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVE GUEST.

(Yay! I got to slip it in...I freaking rule...ya'll didn't see it comin, right!?)

I find myself agreeing with Spooky with each episode. It's kind of scary, actually.

(except for that bit about how NY is the centre of everything, everywhere)

No humans were hurt in the making of this podcast. A few animals died though.

You can definitely make money in Dubai. However, it seems that people either have an amazing experience there, or a bad one. I know many designers who went there and thought they were going to die. There is some shady stuff.

Just be cautious and make sure you know what you're doing before travelling. Read up on it. This goes for anywhere in the world.

As far as the toad stomping goes, I certainly hope this doesn't turn out to be the fad that wave punching is. I agree that it was shitty and I imagine I would have been quite horrified to see someone stomp on a toad in front of me.

You can disregard my comments, however, if you believe being a vegetarian disqualifies me from life.

I'm pretty sure that being a woman was the part that disqualified you.

Killing that frog in that situation would have just been killing it for entertainment anyway, regardless of intent to eat. So I don't see why Spooky say's he'd be okay with that, but not what happened, it seems arbitrary to draw any sort of difference between the two situations.
I agree 110%. When he mentioned that he'd kill it because he wanted frog legs, my thought was "this is one of the most hipocritical things I've ever fucking heard". Frog Legs (when you've got tons of food) = entertainment.
