According to this: http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/safety/...calculator.htm

his BAC would be 0.254 (average between results for 120 lbs. and 130 lbs.).

You also lose .01 for every 40 minutes after you drink, so he would have lost an additional 0.0375 over the 2 1/2 hours of sleep.

Resulting BAC is 0.217. Sure, it's an estimate, but it's nowhere near 0.873. Something was wrong with the reading. He would be dead if it were that high.

All that being said, it was a fun enough story to listen to.
it was probably .1873 or .0873 i think the latter as the beers were Keystone Lights. and so much time went by between the consumption and the check also it would explain the huge disparity between the two youths' alcohol levels.

anyway, i am surprised they still haven't mentioned any type of correction on the show or called this little 15 yr old back and let him have it for lying.

not so enjoyable as i found it grading that they believed this kid. i guess i got the problem. the whole episode my OCD kicked in and i was like..the kid is wrong!!!!!!!!!

definitely this was the worst show i heard yet.

I was examining it for the worst case scenario.

its not like i didnt give an explanation. i said i didnt like the show because they didnt seem to understand that a bac of .873 is impossible, and they didnt seem to question that about a kid who is all of 15 yr old from bumble fuck USA

who gives a shit about this little fuck.

and i just said that i happen to like this episode the least out of all episodes. is that wrong to say? is this only a place where people must post all types of praise.

and by including the show was short is that supposed to make it better. it was a bad episode but at least they had the decency of making it a short one so...Yay!

FUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK YOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU

It's Possible

Bulgarian doctors tested a man's blood-alcohol level five times before accepting it was 0.914 – nearly twice the amount considered to be life-threatening. The 67-year-old man landed in hospital on Dec. 20 after a car knocked him off his feet in the southern Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, police and doctors said Tuesday. A breath test indicated blood-alcohol levels so high that police thought their equipment was broken, because the man remained conscious and talked with them. The head of Plovdiv police, Col. Angel Rangelov, said five separate lab tests taken the same day confirmed the man's blood-alcohol level of 0.914.

relief

I couldn't believe keith was listening to this kid as if he were telling the truth. As if a 15 year old kid knows anything about drinking. I signed on to call BULLSHIT as soon as i could and it was a relief to see that the community wasted no time in denouncing it. Good to see KATG listeners employing some critical thinking. y'all rock.
thanks

Bulgaria, really? that's your source of accurate information?

There is a reason DUI/DWI cases get tried so often. The breathalyzer test is easy to impugn in court because it is notoriously inaccurate and requires constant calibration and testing.

BTW, if you EVER get stopped by a cop and you think you're possibly a bit tipsy, do NOT do a breathalyzer or a field sobriety test. That shit is all video taped. Let them arrest you if you have to. They will escort you to their car. Worst case scenario, they can get a court order to do a blood test, but it buys you time. Blowing or stumbling on video is just you giving the District Attorney evidence against yourself. It's a guarantee of thousands of dollars of fees, suspension of your driving license and/or probation.

^ what he said

cops are notorious for rigging field sobriety tests anyone can stumble during one of those, particularly with all the flashing lights, shouted commands, etc
